Ive walked a fine line here at FG for well over a year now. Ive remained aloof and Ive not let many of you really get to know me. That was by design. The ones I have let in have been few. I come here for fun. Ive managed to avoid the pitfalls and the webs people weave by keeping my integrity. Ive kept my word when I said I would and I dont talk about people behind their backs.

If someone sends me a pm bitching or moaning about another I sidestepped it. I can listen but I dont have to get personally involved and I dont let others influence me. I havent alienated anyone until now because Ive been neutral. Ive tried not to get involved in pettiness. I think Ive done a pretty fair job of being good natured and I havent burdened anyone with a negative attitude.

Ive been inundated with people telling me how much they hate this person or how much they despise that person. Yet somehow Ive managed to steer clear of getting sucked into that cesspool. My conscience remains clear even after the malignancy thread. I spoke ill of no person in private.

For all the people that have encouraged me to never change, Nomad we love you, Nomad your my favorite...I guess that means Im only welcome here if I dont have any thoughts or as long as I dont speak up. Nobody wants that from Nomad right ?

The malignancy thread was started because it needed to be said. I didnt single anyone out, I didnt humiliate any one person. No names were mentioned. Not in public and not in private. I really believed people would want to know that the members they trusted were being maligned behind their backs. I didnt go into detail. It was meant as a wake up call, it was there so people might reconsider that hey, maybe this isnt cool. Maybe its not a good thing to be blasting people. Well, we know how that turned out.

How dare I, shame on me, It sickens me to think I was your friend etc.

I realize now how naive it was to think the truth was the right thing.

Ill be your friend Nomad as long as you dont say something I wont like. Nomad is a backstabber. Someone pm'd me begging me not to start trouble. Its Christmas..please lets just be nice. Then said they wouldnt get away with that **** with me.

Someone else pm'd me with the most recent dirt on me. Filthy ****ing Nomad, who does he think he is ?

People are fickle and untrustworthy. Its why Ive remained anonymous.

God help my repulsive soul.

I have always and will continue to believe that the TRUTH is ALWAYS the way to go. Didn't see this malignancy thread and frankly, I don't care about it. But the truth is a NECCESITY. ALWAYS. Period. End of sentence. Next paragraph. Fini.

Nomie the truth is always best in every situation. What's done is done I consider you to be a bright, clever, fun loving man with a heart of gold. If someone doesn't like what you have to say when you fell like saying it that is their problem..

Your wit an humor over the years has kept me coming back when I wasn't so sure I wanted to anymore.

I have always found it odd that people carry grudges for reason that aren't even understandable to me. I say live and let live, and damn the torpedo full speed ahead.. :-3 Did I just say that... Here is another one life is to short to worry about small stuff I choose to move on and enjoy my time here in the Garden..:yh_flower

Muku pu has nothing but respect for you Nomie your #1 in my book. :-4

I've already had my say in the 'I miss' thread. Your apology, Nomad, to Accadue was gentle and appropriate.

ForumGarden has been through some unpleasantnesses in the last while. But Tombstone gave out clean slates.

For me, the past is just that. Over. I'm not into rehashing stuff I've moved on from.

And, anyway, truth is one of those very hard things to get a full handle on. I expect varying people had varying claims on it. It was not all in one basket. Again. It's over.

I'm hoping next year will be a good one for all of us. My New Year's wish for FG is that we all make a new start. That all feel able to post to all, if they want to, in a polite and civilised dialogue - without past baggage - as individuals with unaligned viewpoints.

Shalom.

I think, like actors get typecast from one big role they played, it is easy to end up in a similar situation on a Forum. People come to know one side of you and that's all they want. Something predictable that they can count on whenever they come here.

It's refreshing when members branch out and we get to see more aspects to who they are. I used to avoid the political forums like a plague when I first started here. Some people might wish I had remained that way but, in the end, I feel like anyone who bothers to go looking can find what they need to know about me as a person.

If someone stops liking you for what you post then it is something that you have both learned. Maybe you put it behind you in the future, maybe you don't. It's never a mistake to write from the heart.

I could not agree with you more, Koan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the purpose is truth and honesty.

It's Good to be true to yourself and it's Good to be honest with people.

I think Nomad did a good thing by showing us what was happening under our noses, but instead of being applauded for it, he's been vilified by those he calls friend. But I think a lot more people think well of him than he realises. I think you're amazing Nomad! Well done for standing up for what you believe in. :yh_hugs

What has Nomad done that is wrong? Warning people, without naming names, what I myself has suspected for a long, long time? You know Nomad, if they choose to believe it or wear blinders is strictly up to them. Just when the day reality takes over denial, who do you think they'll cry to? I just hope when that day comes, you tell them where to go.

Well, Snooze, I find it very encouraging that you want to marry a hyena because if you're fixin' to settle down with one of those, I can't see any reason why you wouldn't be happy being married to me. I hardly ever bathe but, then again, how often does a hyena? You might have some trouble enduring my episodes of a gas problem while I'm laying next to you in bed. But then again, have you ever had to endure a hyena fart? You might be upset that when you left for work in the morning I'd still be in bed, just as I would be when you got home in the evening. But then again, what do you think your hyena hubby would do that would be any different? Hyenas are known for their laughter. Don't you think he'd just giggle at you as you were on your way out the door in the morning, and do the same thing at night when you came home? At least, I speak your language.

Yup, Snooze, I think we should make this a definite. Will you marry me? ;)

LC I'm not going to get in the middle of this but I want to say this one thing. Nomad emailed me not long ago very concerned about Bothwell and you. He wanted to know how we might get you over to England to be with Neil, so I guess what I'm trying to say is Nomad does give a Sh*t about you..
what is that? a threat? you and i talked every day. i have no battle....but your funny crap is not doing well. you know it. so here is your play for sympathy. we talked every day. i told you how scared i was about Bothwell's cancer. you pretended to give a sh*t.
