Has anyone else noticed...........?
....that a good 90% of Christmas cards this year seem to be covered in fine glitter. It doesn't matter how many times I vacuum round the house, I keep getting little glints everywhere from bits of glitter and its starting to get on my moobs

Not as bad as tesco blue led lights with hairy, glinty bits. The hairy bits fall off and hide until I've finished hoovering, and until I've put the hoover away...then they start dancing around the carpet, taunting me...and glinting, evilly...millions of them.

I haven't noticed that one, what I have noticed over the past few years is that as Irish peoples' wealth has increased exponentially, so has the amount of Christmas light that they now put on their trees, houses, gardens, hedges, chimneys, gates, cars etc etc. Its now sometimes a bit like "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" when you drive down a lonely country road, turn a corner, and there is the mother ship, no hold on, its just Mick Delaney's house. What is all that about eh? Should we start a wealth vs christmas lights economic index?

They've been taunting me for years!! :-3
I used to get them, Hamster, but then I found a very good counsellor...they are my friends now and smile constantly and lovingly at me.
These glinty things though are another matter altogether...I found one on my jacket the other day and it sent shivers down my spine. And, horror of horrors, the hearth one has just been joined by a friend!! It is going to be a long Christmas :-1

Vacuuming (hoovering) is an essential aspect of keeping ones life balanced and healthy on many levels. On the practical side, it provides one with lint/fuzz,minute debris/unknown particulate and microscopic nasty free living. The less obvious benefits would be the peace of mind and personal triumph involved in conquering the unconquerable. Defeating the enemy (dust/dirt/eebie jeebies) enables one to transcend the mind to new heights enabling an intimate and intrinsic bond with the vacuum. The vacuum is you, you are the vacuum. Not to mention the buzz you get from the really neat lines the machine leaves behind. For Christmas Im hoping for a fanny pack to organize my attachments.

Moobs? :wah: Oh my.
As a proponent of glitter everywhere, I love the glittery cards!! LOVE 'em! The glitter has a twofold purpose: to make your cards pretty and and to drift to weird places after the holidays, to bring tiny glints of magic into your regular day.
Glitter has a hard job!
Red Glitter's Holiday Tip: Sprinkle gold glitter all over your yard and driveway. It makes things pretty!
