I had intended to give you a dictionary of obscure expressions, but thought you might use it, spreading angst.

The toddy is much appreciated. Nobody's understands how thankless my work is. The children are little monsters. They laugh if I get stuck in their chimney. They swap the sherry their kind parent leave for me for other golden fluids. They eat my mince pies. And I hate elves. Not PC, I know, but they have pointy ears and those little bell things on their shoes, jingling all the time... I could scream..... AHHAHHHAHAHAHAHEFWFW#GH

I've just come in from a long walk by the lake, Theia, and then talked to older daugher (all well there!) on the phone, and to my sister. Haven't heard from the kids in Vienna (but presume they got there). I don't do lunch on Christmas Day. The champers will be opened soon (it's almost midday) and we'll graze on cold ham and fruit. I do the complete English Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, but because it's summer and way too much for the middle of the day, we have this in the early evening, when the fam comes and the pressies under the tree get opened!!!

How are you going?

Actually - and this is almost unbelievable - it did snow round here today, and in fact in two other Australian States. Very strange weather we're having. IT IS SUMMER !!!

Well it's very grey here folks...but the christmas decorations are brightening things up.

Getting ready to go to my sons for the day. I was going to walk round, then I realised I have a huge amount of presents to take with me.
