Not that I ever watch it :o but The Queen's speech is on at 3pm on BBC1 and ITV1.

Channel 4 are showing an "Alternative Christmas Message" at 3pm, which is to be delivered by a veiled Muslim woman. Their reason, they claim, is because this has been a year in which religious and racial identity and freedom of expression have dominated the news.

Whats the betting the veiled deposed Muslim teacher gets a big mention!

I bet she wasn't heavily veiled at her job interview!

This is another case of religious idiosyncracies outweighing plain common sense! :p

I shall probably watch the Queen. I am unapologetically patriotic. :-4

I'm about as as interested in the Queen as she is in me! It's bad enough having to listen to Tony Blair witter on with his plastic smile without having the Queen duplicate almost word to the nation on Christmas day. If Charles is an idiot, he'll still become king - YOU won't! Why should my daughter have to curtsy to the Queen's daughter? All this nonsence about William or Harry having their wild ways with the girls just won't wash. What's the idea - to make themselves out as "The people's princes"? I can see thraight through it.

WAIT! DIURETIC! The Queen made you "chuckle?" Has she had surgery recently, to insert a sense of humor?

And you get an "alternative" speech? How TEDDIBLY POLITICALLY CORRECT of you! Of course, I'd expect nothing less! ;)

Have you seen "The Queen?" I'm dying for someone in the UK to tell me their opinion of this film.

Yes i seen it, its all part of xmas tradition to me, i havent missed one ever, my parents, grandparents insisted on it. The queen gets a lot of bad press, its a damed hard job. Given that she took on the role so young i think she's done well all in all. Imagine if Margaret had been the eldest

Carla you have to bear in mind she's 80

In her hayday i'd say she was extremely beautiful :-4

Oh & before anyone quotes from 'god save the queen' about crushing the scots, i still have no issues with her, if anything i admire her.

Her Majesty is a pretty nice girl.

It's the institution of the monarchy that is archaic and ridiculous.
