Chilling Costs Of Illegal Alien Migration

News With Views.com

In 2003, according to the Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles, 57,600 cars were stolen in Phoenix. It is now the car-jacking capital of the world. Most were SUVs and pickup trucks. At a conservative average of $15,000.00 per vehicle, owner losses exceeded $864 million. Insurance companies in the state suffered incredible claims from policyholders. Worse, how would you like to walk out of your home or business to see your car gone? Imagine the hassle, violation of your hard work and disrespect for your well being.

Where did those vehicles go? Who stole them? Take a guess. Arizona is the temporary home of 500,000 illegal aliens. They cost Arizona taxpayers over $1 billion annually in services for schools, medical care, welfare anchor babies, loss of tax base and prisons. Illegals use those vehicles for smuggling more people and drugs from around the world into our country. When the vehicles are recovered, they are smashed-up wrecks in the desert. If not found, they have new owners south of the border as thieves drive the cars through the desert and into Mexico as easily as you drive your kids to soccer practice. THAT's how porous our borders are!

The chilling costs of illegal migration reach like an octopus into every aspect of our lives. Illegal aliens displaced American workers at a cost in excess of $133 billion dollars last year according to Harvard Professor George Borjas. College and high school kids cannot find a summer job in yard care, landscape, fast food or service jobs. Why? Illegal aliens work them at a third the wage and often' under the table. Not only do your kids not have jobs; you,re paying taxes for illegal aliens who are not paying taxes.

Annually, 75 percent of drugs arrive from Mexico at a net cost of $120 billion hard currency that leaves our country for good. In addition' our tax dollars pay $80 billion for the War on Drugs each year. It is a war that hasn't been won in the past 30 years and drugs are as available today to your teenager as they were in 1970.

When an alien criminal gets caught for rape, murder or drug distribution' you pay $1.6 billion annually in prison costs to house, feed and clothe those filling 30 percent of our federal and state prisons - not to mention TV, movies, weight rooms and other entertainment - they enjoy while being incarcerated.

Is your blood boiling at this point? How about illegal alien anchor babies? Over 300,000 women annually arrive pregnant and drop them on U.S. soil. You pay food, housing, medical and schooling for them to age 18 PLUS their mother. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, average annual cost per child K-12 is $7,161.00 and exceeds $109 billion annually per cycle of anchor babies. That's your money given out to 300,000 moms and their kids annually and all they did was get pregnant and birth that child on U.S. soil.

If you haven't had a heart attack by now, you'll need Tums after this figure. The average head of household illegal alien costs you $2,700.00 in welfare money over and above any taxes he or she pays in their meager paying jobs. With 15 to 20 million illegal aliens in the USA, that figures exceeds $20 billion of your tax dollars. (Source: Center for Immigration Studies, August 2004)

How about the $56 billion in pure cash illegal migrants sent to their home countries last year and every year? That's after their kids enjoyed free education' free lunches and free medical care paid for by you. Mexico receives $15 billion annually from its worker drones. No wonder Vicente Fox sent us 9.2 million illegal alien Mexicans so far.

The lifetime net fiscal drain"taxes paid minus services used - for an adult immigrant is $55,200 according to Carrying Capacity Network. Who makes that money up? You do! Your work! Your taxes!

With a minimum of 15 million illegal aliens in our country, these figures are the tip of the iceberg. Average bilingual education is $1,200.00 per illegal alien student. Get this! We educate 1.1 million illegal alien children each year. Do the math! Ready for another anvil dropped on your toe fact? You paid $27 billion to provide forms, ballots, interpreters and brochures for languages other than English in 2003.

An estimated one-third to one-half illegal aliens work off the books.

It costs $200 million to provide for emergency health care for illegal aliens in the Border States annually. California with over three million illegals paid $79 million' BUT four of their major LA hospitals bankrupted and shut their doors in 2004. Texas with 1.5 million illegal aliens paid $74 million in hospital care. Who is Texas? You, the taxpayer, that's who!

Because you, in your state, pay commensurate medical care according to your illegal alien population. Georgia ran a $63 million deficit for 64,000 unpaid doctor visits to their Grady Health Care system in 2002. In the same year, Georgia taxpayers paid $27 million for 11,188 anchor baby hospital births. Georgia taxpayers paid a whopping $242 million for educating illegal alien kids in 2003. What is it in your state?

What are the consequences? One in two adult African-Americans in New York is unemployed. African-American children's poverty grew by 50 percent since 1999. Why? Their dads can't find work.

It costs you, the taxpayer, $68 billion a year JUST to pay for the resettlement of legal immigrants.

Fellow Americans, we are $7.384 trillion in debt as of November 1, 2004. This year's budget deficit exceeds $413 billion. Our trade deficit stands at $400 billion. Our consumer debt exceeds $2 trillion and our average credit card carries an $8,000.00 balance. Our U.S. government borrows $1.6 billion daily from foreign banks, just to stay afloat. Have you ever heard of the Titanic? We are taking on heavy immigration numbers while we,re being financially bled to death. Are we in trouble or what?

Who brings this fiscal nightmare into America? Take a guess. The majority of your Congress! President George W. Bush himself! Tom Ridge, who won't guard our borders from this invasion' but gets his orders from Bush!

Illegals are arriving at over 4,000 per night according to Time Magazine, September 12, 2004, "Who Left the Door Open?" I quote, "That total of illegal aliens flooding into the United States this year will total three million"enough to fill 22,000 737 Boeing airliners, or 60 flights every day for a year." Don't you think with that many illegals crossing nightly that anyone with a brain would send troops to our border to protect from an invasion? Since we just re-elected the same Congress and president, you can expect more of the same.

You can count on your corporations devouring cheap labor as they send you to the unemployment lines. Additionally, they pay PAC groups to keep senators and congressmen in their back pocket. How do I know? Only 22 companies in 2003 were taken to court for hiring illegal aliens. None went to jail. However, it's a $10,000.00 fine per illegal alien hired and up to five years in prison. You would think that would deter corporations. Not when they've bought off enforcement!

Who else figures in this grand scheme? Your governors and mayors who provide sanctuary laws for illegal aliens! Mayor Bloomberg of New York City. Governor Baldacci of Maine! Governor Bill Owens of Colorado! Mayor Hickenlooper of Denver! Mayor of Los Angeles! Mayor of San Francisco! Mayor of Chicago! Mayor of Miami! How do I know? All those cities and dozens more give sanctuary to illegal aliens with Special Order 40. Illegals remain in our country with exemption from arrest"yet, they are federal criminals!

Can you blame millions of desperate people for coming illegally to America? Hardly! Do you think they will stop coming since the world adds 80 million annually of poor, hopeless people from war torn' ravaged and impoverished Third World countries?

Not a chance! This is the land of free milk and honey. As long as our leaders allow the invasion and not enough Americans speak up, you can expect 12 million more illegal aliens in the next four years. Who pays for this invasion of your country? You do!

As a final note, if you,re as sick of this nation-destroying dilemma as I am, go to my web site. I'll send you an action letter with 17 effective points to change our nation's suicidal course. Whatever your talent, you will become a part of this movement to save our country from this disaster being brought to us by our leaders. You may send that action email out to your friends and they can send it to their friends. As Americans we must link arms, hearts and minds to take action to preserve our country and force our leaders to stop this illegal immigration madness. It's called a 'consciousness shift' and it's going to take every one of us. That means everything you do, COUNTS!

IS BUSH PART OF IMMIGRATION PROBLEM?I voted for George W. Bush – both times – and campaigned for him. And I think he’s a great president. In some ways. But in some others, he’s a failure as a president. Like this statistic: Since George W. Bush became president the number of illegal aliens in the United States has increased by almost 25 percent. In hard numbers, more illegals – overwhelmingly from Mexico – have come into the United States during the first four years of the Bush Administration than there are legal Americans living in Alaska. Or Arkansas. Ditto for Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming. Enough Bush illegals have snuck into our country to populate a medium-sized state. The Bush record is 150,000 Americans in Iraq and almost 3 million illegals in America. In terms of true national defense, how does he stand? By the end of his second term, it is expected he will have allowed the number of illegal aliens in this country to have grown by half. Or more. Possibly quite a bit more. Because instead of talking about a crackdown on our southern border, he’s talking about an amnesty and looser immigration rules. George W. Bush has been the catalyst for illegal immigration – primarily from Mexico – into the United States. Consequently, he has been part of a problem which is a greater threat to the stability and security of the United States than terrorism ever thought of being. And that is all the more troubling considering the fact that he, as president and commander in chief, has the ultimate responsibility to protect this nation. It is a responsibility, in this regard, in which he is utterly failing. The future of this nation, particularly in the Southwest and West, has been unalterably changed for the worse because George W. Bush has been asleep at the switch. We’ve stopped illegal immigration into Iraq from Syria and Iran, but we’ve done nothing to stop illegal immigration into the United States from Mexico. It is almost an act of treason. He has acted as an odd modern-day Quisling. We are being invaded and he is siding with the invaders. Again, I’m a Bush supporter. I’m Republican to the bone. The Democrats would be worse, but this Republican is bad enough. The impact of Bush’s immigration policy is catastrophic. It is incomprehensible that this president should so clearly and resolutely understand and respond to the threat of foreign terrorism, but ignore and reject and ultimately be complicit in the threat of foreign invasion via illegal immigration. Last week was a good example. In a meeting in Waco, Texas, President Bush denounced the Minuteman Project and called its members “vigilantes.” Which is a direct quote from prior statements of the Mexican government. What is the Minuteman Project? A volunteer effort, through the month of April, to patrol a stretch of the Arizona border with Mexico. Regular Americans, most of them taking vacation from their jobs, will ride, walk or fly along the border. When they spot people crossing into the United States from Mexico, they will alert the Border Patrol. They won’t stop the people. They won’t harass them. They won’t have any contact with them whatsoever. They will merely report their presence to the authorities. It’s like a Neighborhood Watch, except that volunteers will carry food and water in case they find injured illegals who have been overcome by the desert heat. All these people are doing is watching and reporting. And the Mexican president has attacked them for that. Sadly, so has the American president. The Administration has chosen to ignore our southern border, and it seems angered that the citizenry hasn’t. The policy of the Mexican government is clearly to foster and encourage illegal immigration into the United States. Sadly, the policy of the American government seems to be exactly the same. Words may be different, but deeds aren’t. And the daily degradation and ruin of the United States is the consequence. This pattern of illegal immigration is nothing other than an invasion of territory and a pillaging of wealth. America has become Mexico’s welfare system and Mexico’s dumping ground. The people Mexico is too backward to employ or care for are herded north to become somebody else’s problem and the foot soldiers in a cultural conquest. They lower our wages, live off our welfare, weaken our society and send our money south. They are a threat to national security and survival. And George W. Bush is doing everything he can to encourage it. He showed that last week when he stood by the Mexican president and against the American people. The people of the Minuteman Project – and the millions of other Americans who are alarmed by what is going on – are not vigilantes. And they are not the problem. The president is. And so is the silent Congress which likewise turns a blind or complicit eye to this crime against our laws. I am a Republican. And I have voted for Republicans and worked for Republicans and donated to Republicans. The voters of America have given Republicans the power to lead and protect our nation. And this is what we get. With Republicans in charge of the Senate and the House and the presidency, we have the Mexicans in charge of the border.- by Bob Lonsberry © 2005

I'd have to say I'm with you on this one, BTS. I have no problem with people that want to come to America and assimilate. But even third generation Hispanics in LA have shown no sign of doing that. Just this week, we caught 4000 illegals in my home town.

Come here legally. It shows respect for the country. learn the language - so that we can converse and be one nation. Learn and obey the laws.

I have trouble with some of my students. They tell me, "I'm Spanish! This doesn't apply to me." I always tell them, "Don't you mean, "Spanish-American?"

Keep your culture, keep your traditions, but become American and be proud to be a part of history.

I too like many others have been very disappointed in the President's 'go softly' approach to illegal immigration. I supported him in the recent election and feel somewhat let down now. Surely it is his clear responsibility to secure our borders against illegals. It doesn't seem to have occured to the Administration that their stance on this highly important issue is alienating many of their traditional supporters. It shouldn't be necessary for the Minuteman Project to have to patrol the border with Mexico and do the job of theimmigration authorities. But thank goodness they are. It seems to me that this whole question of illegal immigration has united the country in its opposition to it and our leaders are becoming ever more distant from public opinion. In our next Presidential election a candidate who stands for strong and robust action in dealing with this issue will surely command widespread support.

First of all this is not a new problem. Illegal immigration has been an ongoing problem for years. Example.. I worked at the Ocean City Downs, a harness racing track in Maryland for a summer in 1985.. ONe nite I got pissed at the dishwashers that were down jerking around and chattering away in spanish and yelled Immigration.... 7 out of 10 and one bus boy ran out the back door and were halfway across the parking lot before the GM caught them. So.. you can't lay the blame for this problem at the Bush Administrations feet.

So.. they tightened up the border.. forced the ones that did want to enter the country illegally to go thru the desert.. what happens.. human right groups are putting out water and supplies to assist them. I read of a rancher that is catching hell because he is patrolling his own property to prevent illegal immigrants from crossing it.. lets see .. his property.. he pays for it.. pays the taxes.. yet he is wrong to prevent illegal crossers from using it and leaving thier trash on it.. hmmmmm.. I am soooo confused...

Hey I've got a great idea. Instead of spending bucket loads of your G.N.P on fighting in wars all over the world, wasting taxpayers money (I notice that they still haven't caught Bin Laden after nearly four years. How much do you think this has cost you?), spend a tiny proportion of that money on helping your Mexican neighbours to develop their own country. Then they won't come to the U.S. Then they wont steal your car. Just a thought!! ;)

I'm holding back from commenting since your comment above reflects no knowledge of the United State's financial contributions to Mexico. Let's also not forget the massive donations that flow into that country.

True, thank God that England has no illegal immigration problems! ;)

Look...if these 'hispanics' are costing you all so much by allegedly committing all this car crime, etc, why doesn't your government do something about the fact that one of the poorest countries in the world is sitting on your own doorstep. Not to mention the rest of central America. They do it because they are so POOR, If that weren't the case, most of those people wouldn't be so desperate to get into the U.S.

I believe it was called "The North American Free Trade Agreement".

That is my money your talking abut and I don't consider it a waste of money to get rid of "governments" like the Taliban and dictators like Saddam Hussein. Actually, I consider that both money well spent and an investment in the future.

(I notice that they still haven't caught Bin Laden after nearly four years. How much do you think this has cost you?),

No, but the Taliban certainly isn't flogging women in the streets or blowing up art treasures anymore either, are they? And didn't Saddam look great crawling out of his spider hole? That was worth every penny! I notice that used-to-be rogue states like Kaddafi's Libya are beginning to sing another tune too.

It's nice to see America flexing her muslces for once, instead of trying vainly to be placating to everyone. Straighten up and fly right world!

Perhaps good Dr. you should examine yours.. after all you are the one telling us how to spend our monies.. We ship off billions of dollars in foriegn aid each year. and whenever there is a natural disaster even more..

There are thousands of illegal immigrants in this country already that are taking advantage of established social programs.

And besides... if the morals in this country are so terrible.. then why are people literally dying to come here..

September 2nd, 1943...The end of World War II and the dawn of the Nuclear Age. And then again in December 1991, the Fall of the Soviet Union...America's unchallenged economic and military power left us in sole possession of the role as planetary guardian, elder brother, policeman, and mentor.

Thanks Doctor Who. As an American taxpayer, I don't relish the thought that so much of our money goes to hundreds of other countries. There are plenty of items in this country where the money could be well spent.

As a rule, Americans don't back down from perceived or real threats. The terrorists brought these issues very close to our home. I could go on and on about what a stupendous mistake our 'enemies' make when they do this. I'll super-dilute it down to three decent and recent examples:

1. Pancho Villa - Post Mexican Revolution. Made the mistake of attacking US citizens on US soil up until about ~1916. Drew the ire of President Wilson. Goodbye Pancho. General Pershing was stopped from conquering all of Mexico by President Wilson who was getting the US involved in World War 1.

2. Japan. Made the mistake of attacking us at Pearl Harbor.

3. Radical Muslim Terrorists. Made the mistake of 9/11. Much to Europe's chagrin, the U.S. is just starting its fight. I don't think most Europeans are aware of this.

Wasn't there a program in place like this during WW1 and WW2? I haven't googled it yet but maybe someone else knows.

If you take this stance, then you must also understand that it is not America's responsability to make sure that every country and person prospers. I say this is comparable to a military invasion and should be treated more accordingly. It is not America's job to protect central American's or make sure their country is worth living in. But it is the government's job to keep Americans safe and free to prosper, and we can not prosper with a constant and increasing drain on our society. Temporarliy it will make the immagrants lives better, but in the long run, it will make most American's lives worse. It makes me sick that some person that isn't even supposed to be here, that just by virtue of being here is breaking the laws of the country, can get health care, but I as a national and a student can not afford health care. That does not really foster the idea that my government has my best interest in mind.

You say the US is to blame for not supporting Mexico, but what obligation do we have to them? Do they help us? We live just north of them and we seem to prosper. Maybe they would do better to emulate American culture rather than just trying to leach off of the result of American culture. Just my opinion.

Well, be ready for a new influx of illegals. The rebuilding of the Gulf Coast will be a major boon for illegals in the U.S. I am quite sure that Haliburton will be more then willing to hire illegals at a much lower rate then the displaced Americans who could use the jobs. But, we shouldn't worry, as they will be sending a majority of their pay back to Mexico so that should help the Mexican economy.
