To be quite honest, I don't really have an all time favorite record...I know you're talking about albums, but I'm not much of a music junky...I love listening to music don't get me wrong, it's just I only listen to music occasionally, and I don't really follow groups as much as I appreciate single songs...
But to answer your question, I'll tell you what are some of my favorite bands...
(I would also like to point out that here in America, commerce is a dog-eat-dog world, and they never put a numerous amount of "hit" songs on one album, which supports my line of defense. :wah: )
Rock:
Stone Temple Pilots
Rage Against the Machine:
some Disturbed and some Pantera /some korn and some Rob Zombie(I don't like that heavy heavy crap -- I like heavy, but not that devil wanna be crap -- I know integrity when I see it :wah: )
Country: (I can't stand most of the new stuff -- I mostly like the old country)
Hank williams Jr.
Charlie Daniels band
David alan Coe
Jerry Reed
Rap:
Snoop dogg
Ice Cube
2Pac
Eminem
Dre
Some Mack 10
Misc:
Bob Marley
George Clinton
Marvin Gaye
some blues travellers
and various good blues bands -- hard to find a good blues band/ I went to school with a kid that tours around my city, and from what I hear hes a hell of a blues player -- his name is Noah -- Noah & the Stratocats is their name
Thats all good, I like most of that stuff as well!
BTW, if you wanna get into writing and journalism, I used to work as an editor for a science publishing company, and I've freelanced for the dailys and all that. My advice is to start writing copy, get the emails of local-ish paper editors, try sending them in with letters explaining what you are about. It is all about copy, if you keep writing it, eventually someone will pick up on you, its not the easiest profession, but if you like it of course its great.
Good Luck.
