Wow! Too much thinking this early! Especially before my coffee! If my cats are any indication of how the alpha thing works, then the male who has his bits nipped leaves the spraying to the female!

If the guy doesnt beat his chest, drag his lady off by the hair, grunts in gratitude when done, AFTER she skinned and boiled what he hunted for dinner, then it's the females who are alpha. Guys today just do what they are told.
