Just go for it all, Chris, go through every door that opens. Change can be painful but it's well worth it...there are a few of us here at FG who can vouch for that. And it often happens in our fifties :-6

No offense to either of you. I'm probably going to get bashed for this, but it's taken less. There is no way I would uproot my life for a person who is still with their spouse. Just my opinion.

Life is so short that if you get the chance to find happiness you should. But it's important to try not to hurt others in your life too much along the way.

I've seen friends whose relationships have failed who then go on to meet someone else and are so much happier they then say 'should have done it years ago'

Wish you both happiness.,

I live alone and my advice is don't bother ironing :wah:

In the last 3½ years I've ironed 3 shirts that needed it. Careful pegging or swift removal from a tumble dryer and flattening while hanging saves a lot of effort. It's also more eco-friendly :D

Just do it. Changing is never as bad as just putting up with the way things are.

Best possible wishes for you both! You've lived long enough (I hope) to be able to see the potholes in the road ahead and walk around them together.

This is very romantic! :)
