What little things make you smile? Feel warm and fuzzy? Or just make you think about how good it is to be alive?

I like watching people.

I was walking up to the hardware store last week and a couple about mid 50s was leaving. The woman had bought something that popped up when you pressed a button. Scared the bejeezes out of the man. He jumped a foot off the ground then started laughing. He saw me watching him, our eyes met and just shone. I got to share a moment of joy with him and we never even spoke.

Babies and small children smiling and laughing. Being able to compliment someone on their smiling baby and seeing their pride.

The guy, sure.. but there is something about my daughter reaching for my hand when we are walking someplace that just does it for me. It just feels naturally good.

Rolling in autumn leaves. Soft light in the early evening. The scent of rain. Homecoming. Kids laughing. Smiles. Just being alive.

I love snow too. Crunching the first footprints into a light dusting on the footpath (sidewalk, pavement). Catching fluffy flakes on my tongue. Whoooooshing up to my waist on skis through champagne powder, singing. Just singing. Being alive!!!!

Yesterday when we went for my grandson's birthday he ran over and immediatly said Hi and asked to be picked up. When we were getting ready to leave, I was holding him and he said "Want to hug grandpa again". That was cool.

Seeing my grandchildren's faces light up when they see me!

Walking into my apartment at the end of a workday and knowing that this is mine, and I don't have to leave it.

Hearing joy in my friend's voices when they tell me good things that have happened to them.

Walking in the mountains.

Having a patient tell me that I've made a difference in their life.

Seeing my daughter and son-in-law happy with each other.

I love giving my kids a clean blanket out of the dryer and watching them cuddle into it and go ahhhhhhh!!.:)

Love spending time with my family, playing games and just being together...

Clean linens are wonderful, especially when it's cold and rainy out, or when you just don't feel good...:(
