Hi all:)

Hope everyone had happy holidays. Just joined the board, found it by accident.

I make candles & soap (not as much as I'd like to, the candles pretty much take up a lot of time.) Have 7 dogs and love all kinds of animals.

I like to read, crochet, & cross stitch

Look forward to making some new friends.

I tried to make firelogs out of old newspapers once... took months to get the smell out of the house... now I just buy them :D

thanks flopstock: I guess the candlemaking is somewhere between a hobby and small business. I started doing this cause I got tired of putting out "good money" for horrible candles:) I have them displayed at a vet's clinic now to help toward a fund for this dog that they arey trying to get a wheelchair for and the rest of time, i just sell a few along now and then.

The Navy and the Marines have a hazing ritual when they cross the equator on a float. Some of the items they use might include lard, liquid trash, terlet cleaning utensils etc. I was thinking of starting a newbie hazing ritual at Forum Garden. Lucky you ! Welcome aboard and stow that gear. ATTENTION !

Welcome from me, too, Paws! Don't know much about crafty things but there are many animal fans/activists here, so you'll have much to discuss. Jump on in!

Rapunzel : I guess it depends. I like nature scenes, animals, also like country type things, kitchen stuff, monograms, etc. i like to keep it simple, but I have been tempted to try a few difficult pieces. :)
