Just reading through some emails and newsletters, I came across this:
Internet helps rescue abused child
A child in Canada sent an anonymous message to a Web site in Australia. Authorities worked hard to trace the message. And their work paid off. The child is no longer in the abusive situation.
The Kids Help Line in Australia offers a 24-hour counselling service to children and teenagers. It is one of the first sites that comes up if one runs Kids Help Line through an Internet search engine.
