Dr Who- the new series - who should be the next one?

What does everyone think of the new Dr Who series? I think that Christopher Ecclestone (excuse the spelling) is really good, heÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s also cute as well; :yh_kiss shame that heÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s leaving it wonÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t be the same without him in it.

Also who do you think should be the next doctor?

Paul MaCgann or Sean Pertwee. Many thankÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s.

The Daily Mirror today named the next Dr as Patrick Stewart.

I think he would be ok, but wouldn't he be a bit sterotyped as a Starfleet captain? Unless they plan to mix Dr Who and Star Trek TNG into a film, now wouldn't that be interesting? :wah:

im hoping doctor who becomes as big as james bond and theres always a huge level of excitement and buzz about who the next doctor will be (i know there is but not quite to the same level as JB)

i quite liked McGann but then maybe ewan mcgregor would be quite good as a doctor.... he could fill either roll probably

If Dr Who becomes like james Bond, he'll have to jump into bed with all the ladie's. if that's Chrsi Ecclestone, I'' jump into bed with him anytime! :wah:

Shane Ritchy would do as an alian or an assistant I think.

Haven't watched Dr Who in ages.

Was a tad disapointed that Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy didn't get brought back to TV with the movie being released.

If ever David Tennant decides to finish with his new role of Doctor Who, Patrick Stewart would be a great choice. He could be the best one since Tom Baker.

I'm looking forward to seeing what David Tennant is like. I would never think about dismissing him as the choice until I have seen a few episodes.

William Hartnell is still my favourite of the actors that have played the role.

As for Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, it was shown recently on one of the Sky television channels. I used to think it was great 25 years ago, when it was first shown on TV. When I saw it this year, it did nothing for me. It even annoyed me whenever they were referring to God in a blasphemous way.
