Daydreaming

Anyone else do this extensively?

I used to get so caught up in my daydreams I'd actually start talking out loud while I walked down the street. Then I'd suddenly become aware of it and try to make it look like I was singing. :wah: :yh_whistl

It's supposed to be a good quality when someone can become so absorbed in a book etc that they don't hear anything going on around them. But meandering off in the middle of a conversation can be a pitfall. :wah:

I lucid dream all the time and when I wake up sometimes it takes me a few seconds to realize that I'm not still asleep and doing whatever. Does that count? :)

sure.

I think it's funny when people try to talk to me before I'm awake. I say the weirdest things. Today I was assuring spot that I was awake because I could see the flags. :wah:

You know what happens me all the time, I wake up in my dream but I can't figure out if I'm dreaming or not, does that make sense. It's like some part of the brain is still asleep and what I do is I look for signs to see if I'm still dreaming, like trying light switches or something and when I realize I'm dreaming I will look around etc. If I get bored and want to wake up I shake my head vigorously. Always works. :o

My daughter used to get the funniest answers while I was still sleeping. Sometimes I became aware I was still dreaming while I was talking to her. She wasn't always sure. I was afraid she might actually think I wanted her to walk to the cheese shop on her own at four in the morning some day.

When I was a kid I daydreamed a lot. One day I was walking down the street... or maybe I was dreaming I was walking down the street. I haven't known for sure if I'm dreaming or not since. :o
Schooling results in matriculation. Education is a process that changes the learner.
