WOW! If you want to see Judi Dench in her prime...see this film. She's just "dead on" in a tale of unrequited love, deception, betrayal and obsession. Cate Blanchett is luminous, if not exasperating in her character's self-destruction. My companion said of the film that "These people are all leading overlapping lives in their own worlds." He's right.
See what you think. Both Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett have been nominated for Golden Globe awards. I think they deserve the recognition.
