Do you hold yourself correctly whilst you, walk, sit? Have you ever walked whilst balancing a book on your head?
I feel a bit like a penguine when i straighten up, pull my shoulders back ect.

Posture
Well at the moment I'm all hunched up over my desk peering at the computer. Every now and then I try to sit upright to stop my shoulders aching....ouch.
Pilates is excellent for posture and mid body strength (muscles support the spine) ....used to go and I'm thinking about joining again.

I'm going to sign up for that at the gym when my back is a bit better, it's supposed to be really good for posture and strengthens the back and stomach muscles......might be able to lose the control pants :-3

It is good Suzy.....ballet dancers and sportsman use it as part of training and as remedial work after and injury. You can get some good DVDs / Videos.
http://www.bodycontrol.co.uk/index.html... you can get Lynne robinsons DVDs in Virgin etc
The hardest thing for me was to synchronise the breathing with the movements.
Most movements involve 'pulling navel to spine' .....still do that part quite a lot,

Posture
I always try to be aware of holding myself upright and erect (no jokes here, it'd just be too easy :p )
My Dad was big on correct posture and always noticed when people didn't stand up straight
Hey, we are all shrinking anyway
I'd like to stay 5'4" as long as possible :p

Posture
I play the piano and learned from a young age how to always sit correctly. I do not know if it trasfers over into walking as well, but I know I can sit for 6-8 hours on those long rehearsal days without a backache or problem.

I slouch at my desk even though I have a lovely big leather chair. I slouch on the sofa at home even though it is a recliner and has posture support.
I drive my car with the seat so far back I am almost horizontal and I work on my home pc with one foot on top of the pc box as it is comfortable.
I have permanent backache because of it. Just too damn lazy to sit upright! (I am trying at the moment but it just makes my boobs stick out even more and that is NOT a good thing!) :-3
At least they're sticking out love, they could be falling underneath your armpits

I'm constantly correcting my posture - its amazing how quickly you slouch - or find yourself in that oh so comfortable position in the lazy boy/sofa.
My mother instilled in me to stand up straight/sit up etc. (strict).
I always won medals/certificates in school for my posture - now with all my back problems - I notice a daily slouch trying to surface - I'll keep fighting it.
I do notice posture in others especially while walking - maybe my mother was right
