Thanks, yeah I know and to think that it's only just up the road from me as well. Just bad timing I guess with my birthday and my grandparents coming to stay, oh well. I'm hoping for lots of pics though, and you have to get a group pic too if you can!

OK, are we sticking to the maps on http://www.forumgarden.com/forums/showp ... stcount=37 for the meeting place, the "Toad at the Bullring" Pub, or has that changed by now?

If that's what we're doing, I'll be there from opening time at 11am - I know some people are intending to pull into Birmingham around that time. Should we all aim to have got there by 2pm?

I'll have my cellphone with me and it's 07772772935.

Nonono - it does open at 11am. I'll walk in as the doors get unlocked, tell the lurcher to sit by the fire, take off my poachers coat and offer to pay for my ale with a brace of pheasant. "cold out before dawn", I'll say to the landlord, "a large brandy should sort that and a bottle of stout would refresh the mind wonderfully. Could you use a half dozen rabbits?"

Here's a present in exchange, then. Not that I can tell jokes like you, but anyway.

A man goes into a pub and asks the landlord for a triple whiskey, and drinks it in one go. "You're ok?", asks the landlord, "that's quite a shot of whiskey you just took". "Not ten minutes ago I found my wife naked on the sofa having sex with my best friend" he replies gloomily. The landlord hands him another shot on the house and asks what he did about it. "I told her to pack her stuff and leave the house before I got back from the pub", he says, "and I'll have another whiskey please". The landlord thinks for a moment and says fine, that's quite restrained just to tell her to leave, but how did he deal with his best friend? "I looked him in the eye", says the drinker, "and I shook my head at him and I said Bad dog! Sit!"
