Hmm. Seems to be a bit of a fuss brewing WRT China.
It seems quite unlikely to me that China used a ballistic missile to destroy an old weather satellite, their own or anyone else's. The only country actively refusing to ban such tests is the USA, while China's pushed for some years to have a worldwide ban put in place. The US claiming, without any publishable or convincing evidence, that such a test has been performed by the Chinese, seems far more likely to be a step toward performing a series of their own without a domestic outcry. This is the same administration which purported to know with certainty that WMD existed in Iraq, you'll remember. They have a track record of misleading public opinion.

I wonder if they do develop this would they sell us some, as then we could knock out some of those god awful sattelite TV channels, that would be a cool use for technology!
