I decided I'm going on a health kick and grabbed the obvious vitamin C tablets as part of my regime.

When I got home I dumped everything on the counter, cleaned out the "kill me" drawer of the fridge (food gone bad) and grabbed the garbage bag in one hand to take out. I looked at the vitamin C and thought "yes, I'll have one of those before I go". Having always taken chewable tablets before I flipped the lid with my thumb, marveled at the size of the thing and then popped it in my mouth (stay with me here, folks).

About five steps down the hallway, my mouth started to foam. What the hell? I started chewing furiously and trying to swallow bits of it as it fizzed. It foamed more. I dropped the bag in the hall, ran back to the kitchen and grabbed the container, still chewing madly with my eyes starting to burn. Sure enough: drop one tablet in a glass of water.

I keep burping orange acid.

When will it stop? Why me???

I was feeling so invigorated by my burst of pure vitamin that I fell asleep and had a dream that I was in the winter olympics. I was to perform some daring, high-flying acrobatic event wherein held only by two rubbery swing type devices I had to maneuvre my way along an overhead track as fast as I could go.

Being of a generous nature, I tried to help this poor Russian woman who didn't seem to get how to streamline her body to go faster and became distracted. Heading into the final run, I missed my mark and intead of at the finish line, I landed in a empty swimming pool. Ignoring, as we do in dreams, the fact that every bone in my body would be crushed, I indignantly grabbed my emergency parachute - a little after the fact dontcha think? - and climbed my way out, quite annoyed that no one had been prepared for my landing.

Go ahead and laugh but don't ask which FG members were playing flag football in the next arena... or how flag football became a winter olympic sport.

The residual fizz tingle is not at the back of my sinuses. I'm afraid if I sneeze I'll light the end of my cigarette.
