i never was a casino buff, but when my Mom was dying she wanted to go to atlantic city. so i took her. and i won a ton of money. got comped and gave it all back. that was ok, my Mom had a great time. that's all that mattered. she had fun. i have no compulsion to gamble, but i won the Mass. lottery TWICE for $50,000. in those days that was a LOT OF MONEY. i play the florida lotto every saturday, no big deal. i knew a compulsive gambler, he literally lost everything he had. it's a sickness.

I love casinos! I've been to several in Vegas, 2-3 boats in KC, the boat in Sioux city Iowa, The Bicycle Club in LA, Tunica, MS.....just about every vacation I've taken in the past few years included a trip to a casino if one was close by.
I use to be big on slots since I didn't know how to play any cards. It would have been quicker to just walk in the door and throw my money in the air. On my honeymoon, I did win $250 on a Wheel of Fortune machine and $75 in Vegas at a Triple Diamond machine.
Over the past few years, hubby has gotten me into poker and I love it. I try to keep it within a limit, but I also take my ATM card with me just in case. Depending on how the cards are going, I've made a few trips to the ATM.
Good thing the closest casino with a poker room is 2 1/2 hours away!

I have been to vegas 3 times but am not a gambler, but love the opulence of the casinos there. The ex had a gambling addiction so I stear clear.

I LOVE VEGAS! I just got married there last summer. I love the casinos...the excitement...the feel. I love the luxury...I love the high rollers...I love the feel (already said that...but difficult to describe). It is fun to dress up and go out in the sparkly lights...it is just glam...at least glam for a girl from Missouri. I am not a gambler though. I like to sit with hubby while he gambles, but I decided gambling wasn't for me.

Is that ever true! I was at our local Casino in CT a few months ago, I just went into a quiet sitting area, to get away from all the noise & hussle & bussle. When these two ladies came up to me & asked what time it was, I told them 8:30. Then they asked AM or PM? They were there for so long they didn't even know if it was day or night!! Scary!! :wah:
