Why does the USA want to destroy the world?

Post by shrike »

According to the BBC the USA is determined to kill us all by not subscribing to the climate 'change' hysteria that's reached such a pitch in GB that our PM has to defend his use of aeroplanes.

Personally, I think global warming is a load of crap. And even if it isn't I don't bloody care.

What's posterity ever done for me?

I think it's a huge steaming pile of bullshit and I am further sick to death of everyone and their brother blaming the US for EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG IN THE WORLD. It's tiresome, and BORING.

Soon as the rest of you become perfect and infallible, let me know. I'll listen to you crap on my country all day.

That's the beauty of the global warming scam.

We ordinary people have no way of making a judgement. 'Scientists' have decided that the world's in peril and the only way to avoid worldwide catastrophe is for the USA to drop to its knees and ask for forgiveness.

Something I very much hope it will not do.

China is currently the second largest emitter of greenhouse gases, and is expected to become the largest by 2030

Kyoto Protocol

CHINA'S biggest industrial polluters have been ordered to halt all new projects in an effort to force them to take immediate action to meet environmental standards.

The companies include four of China's six biggest energy groups, with strong links to some of the most powerful Communist Party leaders.

The order follows China's failure to meet its targets for saving energy and controlling pollution for last year, a failure the Government has admitted.

Energy consumption per unit of gross domestic product rose by 0.8 per cent in the first half of last year, and China's environmental record has been severely criticised by signatories of the Kyoto Protocol on emissions.

What's wrong with the world isn't just America's fault. I too grow weary of "the world" blaming the U.S. for everything.

As far as global warming in concerned, yes, we ALL must be environmentalists if we want our children and grandchildren to be able to breathe a decent lung full of air. As well as the animals of the world who have no choice in matters.

To be so nonchalant about matters of the earth (our only home) is frightening to me. Do you mean to say that you (shrike) are NOT concerned with the world's matters?

I'm sorry if my posts worried you, Rain.

I was trying to make a point about how impotent we ordinary people are when we try to make a judgement about matters beyond our competence, e.g. so called 'global warming'.

Do you understand the 'science'?

I know I don't.

What I do know is that the predictions are based on computer models and computer models are not written by Nature or God.

All I'm suggesting is that a little skepticism is called for.

I'm alarmed at the readiness with which 'scientists' are prepared to greet every catastrophic prediction with open arms.

That's all.

I'm thinking the question was more of a rhetorical question aimed in the defense of the USA...

I would have to hope anyone with the least little bit of intelligence would understand their implications in the term "The U.S.A" in regards to everyone associated with it being on a plot to destroy the Earth...And as for not having any knowledge of the effects of such an event there isn't blatant proof in the testimony of those whom harbor those very same accusations.

Well, in the first place, the USA does not want to destroy the world.

Stupid statement, if you'll pardon my saying so.

Secondly, the US woud like very much to support envoironmental causes...

And, finally, we hope to stop whatever agenda YOU seem to have going....

There may well be global warming and we human beings may be contributing to it but the science is dubious as to how much that contribution is. Point one.

The USA is seen by the rest of the world as the source of all the world's woes but I think that's nonsense. Point two.

In the threads topic you ask why America wants to destroy the world.

Then you went into Global warming, stating that you

dont bloody care.

You then proceeded to launch personal attacks on a number of the members who actually replied.

Just Asking.

I don't do this "spank the yanks" thing, its juvenile and unfair, though yes there are a lot of deserved criticisms you can make in relation to the U.S. just like the U.K., France, Ireland, Saudi Arabia, China blah blah blah. Climate change is a reality ladies and gentlemen whether you want to "believe" in it or not, but thats not the American's fault either, and its more constructive to try to understand other peoples views on these matters and try to find workable solutions, (sometimes this may involve being rather blunt its true). But its better to be honestly engaged and have some tolerance for a different world view rather than hypocritically lecture them across the Atlantic. That works both ways, and for everyone else in the world as well. In terms of climate change its best that countries at this stage just lead by example and stop trying to create a global solution, because at present there is no global agreement, and we don't have an endless amount of time to debate this, as its not a philosophical discussion.
