1. Whatever, whatever you do, think for yourself, don't let someone else do it for you, or you won't see it coming till it hits you.
2. Have manners, be respectful always, and don't be a prat.
3. You have as much right to be who you are as anyone else, but no more than that.
3. Make sure that my funeral bills are paid, in full.
4. Life in general, have a cry, then get over it.
5. Now go out and enjoy yourself.

1. Try to have a good belly laugh every day. If you miss a day make up for it later.
2. Sing. Even if you don't think you are very good at it.
3. Only you can make you happy.
4. It's never too late to fix a mistake.
5. To get what you want in life you just have to know what you want and want it badly enough.

My mother said if a man ever hits me to make sure I hit him back ten times as hard, and always have money tucked away that he doesn't know about.
This was on my marriage to a person of another culture. Invaluable words. I shall pass them on to my daughter.

Mine are both grown, so here is what I TRIED to impart.
To both:
1) What goes around comes around.
2) If you don't want people to know something that you are doing out of shame, you probably shouldn't be doing it!
To the daughter:
Males only have enough blood for one head at a time.
To the son:
ALL females are manipulative. It is how we make up for the physical strength that men have and we don't.
