Things are wonderful over here, my mate :-6

It's just about cocktail hour here in Boston, Massachusetts

I'm about to pour my 1st glass of champagne . . . :p

And I'll be drinking a toast to all those at the FG meet in England

Wish I was there

But I am in my heart :-4

Spot actually tried to convince me to try to make it to England this weekend. He most generously offered to pick me up at the airport, drive me to the meet, and make sure I got back to the airport as well.

I really did give it some thought

but logistically it wouldn't work for me

But it was great being asked :-6

As Birmingham is my hometown, I thought I really ought to show my face at the Meet, so I popped along for 3 hours with my daughter. I have other plans later so unfortunately had to leave before the arrival of Jimbo and Suzy. C'est la vie.

In attendance were : Hammy, OM, Spot, koan, Betty Boop, Pinky, Imladris and Wendybird. Took a few pix that I won't be thanked for I'm sure :sneaky: , but here are a few of the motley crew getting along famously. I was a little hesitant on arrival, but it soon became clear that everyone was as nice as they are on here. Heartwarming aint it?
