Fast wheels...

Post by Bill Sikes »

"A motorist has been caught driving at 172mph on a rural A-road, police have said.

The man was allegedly clocked by a Pc's speed gun on a bridge over the A420 near Abingdon in Oxfordshire.

If convicted, he would become Britain's fastest speeder in a car. The current record is 156mph."

I like that he borrowed it.

It must be nice to just pick any car and GO! :driving:
The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

A hundred and seventy two on an English country road, and he is not dead? Thats one ridiculous speed, even for a porche, sure you wouldn't do that on the Autobahn. Idiot.

It is a nice length of good dual carriageway, but even so...!

N.B. Oxfordshire is one of the least driver-friendly counties. Speed traps abound.
