Online Poker Site's......

Post by K.Snyder »

I would like to start a thread to hear the opinions people have for online poker gaming.I have just been taken out of 7 tournaments by being "sucked out" on after the turn.(For those of you who dont know what "sucked out" means,it is a term the poker world uses when a player goes all in having the best hand after the flop and gets called by a lower hand and loses to a lucky card).I have had no problem with such luck at any other poker site other than PokerStars.I have had so many bad beats and suck outs on PokerStars It makes me sick to my stomach. Is it illogical to suggest that these sites could possibly have bots portraying people only to strip you of your hard earned money,or the card layouts being organized to instigate your inevitable loss??Whats your thoughts?

I read an article about these sites the other day, and it seems that men use womens names to confuse the opposition.

They reckoned that if they play under a name like "Naughty Vixen" or "Lucious Lips" they stood a better chance of winning.

So maybe you're right, maybe you are playing against a bot!

I don't know beans about poker, but you've badly contaminated what had been one of my favorite nighttime activities.

Hi K.Snyder,

If you can believe it - I *finally tried PartyPoker and 888.com. This is after years of watching banner advertisements for these firms.

I usually don't gamble - I guess I have no real "desire" for it. I do, however, do quite well in Reno, NV and various Indian Casinos when I'm with others and they want to play poker or blackjack. Poker seems to be the game where I can rake in the chips and have a good time.

Not so with these online gaming casinos! I have yet to play with "real" money - because with 888.com - I can't get a good hand to save my life. It's very strange.

There seems to be a real difference between playing poker in real-life versus playing a random dealer on a virtual table.

The cards do tend to fall your way in cycles though.one night i was down to 700 chips and there were over 200 people left with like 10000 + each, so i just kept going all in to get out of it. I ended up in the money.

Are you one of those players that go all in on the first hand to pick up the extra chips?

No,not regularly.although sometimes I do try when I have the rockets,or a very strong hand,as apposed to just getting lucky. Here's an example of a suckout that I have had going for $6,000.One person and I playing in a two handed match.I have 9 10 suited. He has 7 8 off suite. The Flop comes 6 7 10 off suite.I pair my 10,He pairs his 7.I go all in he calls, him having slightley more chips than me.(meanwhile im sitting in 6th place over all with 22 people left out of 800).SO,even if he does catch his two pair that would give me a higher hand with a straight.Turn comes 8 which gives me the straight and him the two pair.Guess what comes on the river,YEP thats right, another 8 to give him the full house. There were only 3 cards in the deck he could have won with, and he had to catch 2 of them out of 30(give or take a few)card$6,000,s.I know what your thinking,"everyone has bad luck",I do realize that. However what I am saying is those types of "bad beats" happen to me SIGNIFICANTLY more often on online poker gaming than in real life poker.I am talking 50% of every all in.WE WERE GOING FOR $6,000,$6,000,$6,000,$6,000, $6,000,$6,000..

Damn that sucks! I wouldn't have the balls even to risk 3 digits in a card game.

Well, after the new law imposed by Bush and his administration he has made it alot harder for Americans to gamble online.

I haven't been able to play in a while, and I also have been taking a break because I had been getting very serious about playing poker online(Averaged almost a grand a week)...I mostly stopped because I had lost alot of my winnings after risking them heavily on sports

But now I have been able to play on sportsbook.coms new poker site, and I don't know how this site is an exception...

I have already doubled my money within 24 hours. :wah: :yh_sungla
