Dig Camera Accessories

Does anyone have a Olympus Digital camera? I have the C-3000 Zoom and was thinking about buying an attaching lens for really close up pictures. I've been to their website and its somewhat overwhelming meaning I'm not sure which one I need. Plus, I need other things to make that one thing work which confuses me even more.

While I'm at it.....should I buy a flash? Mine has one built in but wondered if the external flashes make a difference? Do they make some to keep from having red eye in close ups of people?

One more.....do they make a lens that you can do both very close ups and landscape type pics? Or do you have to buy seperate?

I think thats all the questions I have now. Any help.....very appreciated.
