I've got perfect feedback, too! I've made about 100 purchases so far.

I buy caviar (I love salmon roe), hair care products, clothing, dog stuff, wine glasses -- and I love getting packages in the mail.

It doesn't take much to get me excited

I also am an E-bayer with a perfect buyers rating. I don't bid on the big stuff though. Outfits, things for the house, costume jewelry, things for the house. It's fun...but I always proceed with caution.;)

Isn't ebay mostly products that are used, and if so do you guys worry about things you buy being broken, and/or other various scams?

Aren't all of the products you buy from ebay from other people?

There's no way of getting a refund either if what you had purchased is broken is there?

I think my brother actually put his race car on ebay...

I believe someone called my father about the car(as he knows more about the details of it, seeing as how he and my other brother were the two that built it), and the guy ended up buying my fathers motor as opposed to buying my brothers whole car...They joke about that...My brother is still looking to sell his car...

Same car my father broke the 50 year old track record with two years ago.

I've only had one bad experience, and if you pay through paypal and the goods are shoddy, you can complain through them and get your money refunded.

I've never handed over money for larger items until I've seen them in person and had them checked over though.

Yeah I wondered about refunds...

I would be hesitant to buy anything from around $50, let alone a car. But, everyone seems to say that ebay is reliable...

Exactly what I was going to say! I've also bought loads of things from Ebay including a car. The owner drove it to our house and we took it for a test drive. Paid him cash and a tenner for petrol for driving it over. His wife had followed in her car to drive him home again.

I buy clothes for the kids. My daughter adores cats so I typed 'cat' into childrens clothes and loads of t-shirts, skirts, etc were listed. I bought her loads of clothes with cats on for just a few pounds each, which is good value when they grow out of it a few months later! Books are good value as they're only a pound or two compared to £7-£10 in the shops and you can sell them again once you've read them.

I use American Ebay a lot as they have a lot of things we can't get in the UK and even though you pay extra for postage, the items are usually so cheap that it really doesn't matter. Only occasionally will you get someone who charges extra for postage. EG, there were some very old-fashioned telephones which I really liked, they asked £5 each - but postage was £95!! They were from Hong Kong, so beware!

I've only had two bad experiences on Ebay in about 5 years. Once I sent a guy cash for a brand new game for my sons birthday. He took the cash and scarpered! Rotten *******!!! Another time I paid for something which never came, but by then I had a paypal account. The guy kept promising it was in the post but it never arrived. Eventually I contacted paypal and had my money back with a week!

I think Ebay try to make it as easy as possible. You can buy some great things which you just don't see elsewhere and you get them for a fraction of the price!

My only bugbear is the millions of emails you get for every item - even if you're only watching it!

Oh, forgot to answer the bit on bargains and feedback. ;)

Feedback is 100%.

I like to cross-stitch and I saw this gorgeous cross-stitch kit on US Ebay called World Traveller. I thought it was a beautiful picture and kept bidding for it. However someone else really wanted it too. The bidding went up to £35 ($70) which I really couldn't afford to blow on a cross-stitch kit, so sadly I had to let it go.

However I remembered the name and kept looking for it. A few weeks later someone else sold the same kit but the picture she used was so dark you could barely make it out. Nobody was interested and so I bought it for £2.50 ($5)!

Yay! I've stitched about 3/4 of it so far, but this is what it'll look like when it's finished.

I love Ebay, I haven't sold anything yet but have bought loads and have 100% feedback.

Have been using it for about 12months and have found loads of great bargains, mostly buy clothes, books, handbags and shoes.

I always look at the seller's feedback and won't use anyone with a dodgy record of neutral or negative feedback.

(I may be a snob but I also always look at the background in the pictures of the items up for sale, if their house/room etc., looks scruffy and dirty then I don't buy from them!!)

I have only had one bad experience in the whole time I have been ebaying and that was for the cheapest item I ever bid on (a Paint Shop Pro downloadable CD)

As it only cost me £2.50 I never bothered to complain, just wrote it off to experience.

I look on ebay everyday but don't buy just for the sake of it, it has to be something that I need to tempt me!

I'm a huge eBayer. I buy vintage jewelry and knick knacks and all kinds of stuff off eBay. I have had both good and bad experiences. There's something about the thrill of the hunt. :D

I'm a avid e-bayer. I too check out their feedbacks. I mostly order books, clothles for me and my husband. So far I have been well pleased. My daughter in law orders clothles for her kids nwt's and her kids are the best dressed kids in school. I've been looking at sewing machines as my old bitty bit the dust. But I'm really afraid I'll get stuck with a lemon. Any suggestions on what to look for on a mechanical item?
