The ground was covered with snow when I woke up this morning but it's starting to thaw slowly now.

Woo Hoo - we had snow this morning - about 4" and it's been snowing lightly ever since I got up at 6am.

Sadly doesn't look as though it will last, thawing even now and will all probably be gone by tomorrow:-1

Ditto we had the same here too.

Been sunny and quite pleasant today apart from the odd hail shower.

No snow here (west lothian), light spattering but didn't last. Supposed to be heading up north to aviemore for a long weekend but that may be delayed if it snows heavily. Probably means the place will be hoching with the plank walkers.

Snow started to fall again here in Birmingham during the afternoon. The roads are now treacherous and it is gridlocked on main road too. What happened to the gritters.

I have to drive 16 miles out of Birmingham and tonight it took me 3 hours. The city was gridlocked. In the first hour I moved about half a mile. Oh how I chortled to myself
