*sigh* sometimes i think there is a loss of brain cells every night when we sleep, the pernicious evil brain cell bats come and suck them out! i went grocery shopping sunday. bought a nice veal breast, some chicken breasts, and lovely fresh strawberries. so when i was putting the stuff away i noticed they weren't there. i had left them in the shopping cart i think. i was too beat to go back to store. anyone else losing their grip? i for one am blaming it on the meds! :-5

Don't worry LC you're not the only one!

I went shopping about two weeks ago for some new kitchen stuff. Got my trolley full of new plates, bowls, cups etc, full to the top. I got to the counter she tilled it all up.....'£157 please'. Put my hand in my pocket, no money and no bank card.

So I had to leave the trolley and say I'd left my money in the car! Its fair to say I didn't return! :-3

Got home and there smiling at me was my purse on the window sill ! :-5

I know what your talking about her LC. I went to Walgreens for just a couple of things and I thought I'd put my wallet in the car carrier with my baby. I got to the check out and my wallet wasn't there. I went ballistic, going down every isle I'd previously been down...thinking my wallet had fallen out. Also, eyeing down every person I came across thinking they had already picked it up and were trying to figure out a way to sneak out of the store with it. Come to find out, I'd left it in my truck. I wonder how I make it through the day sometimes.
I probably posted that in an ambien trance-soryy

went shopping with my other half got to the till looked in purse........ nothing there, to avoid the embarassment he paid

dashed out to the car madly panicing looking for my bank card remembering i had taken it out of my purse and in a rush in a shop bundled it back into my purse so now im thinking what if i missed my purse and dropped it on thte floor without noticing.....

45 minutes later in the car starting to get a little fraught....... the odd tense stressed words are creeping in as im imagining someone off with my bank card having a spending spree.....

get my purse back out and tucked in the pocket bit on the outside f it???? my purse....... couldnt be bothered to go back and get the other things wed gone out for!

have been doing it more and more recently, yep LC i blame the stress of being ill in the first place and then the meds too

sometimes ill get up from my desk at work, walk 3 paces then come back and sit down wondering what on earth it was i got up to do!
life is what you make it

I've gone upstairs to make a brew, got gassing with the girls up there and come back down without them. Then half an hour later when I'm nearly getting lynched by a group of thirsty colleagues I have to go and re-do the cuppa's! :p

Sad news folks, just like our bodies our brains age and become less efficent as well.

Imagine being like that all your life.... that is some of what it is like to have ADHD.

Us senior folks can get away with forgetting, by saying: I had a senior moment!!

No excuse for you youngsters!!! :) (Unless maybe a "youngster" moment??? :D )

I have a terrible memory, got so concerned I told the Dr I thought something was seriously wrong with me  They think it is all to do with the PTSD and the amount of tablets I take (now on 48 a day:-5).

I write lists all the time only problem is I forget to take the lists with me :-5
