I live under a fairy fort, on an enchanted hill run by ruthless leprechauns and they block all earth-to-space satellte tranmissions so I'm afraid I won't be available. :lips:

SnoozeControl wrote: Weeeelll, I think this is how you do it.... you go to the map and click the location you've chosen. That should center it on your monitor. Then, while watching the map, you slide the zoom bar to enlarge your location on the map. You don't have to get that close in case you don't feel comfortable disclosing your location (I'm on an island in the Great Salt Lake.) After that, I think there's a button to save it as "my location" or something.

Wow, I ought to write for a technical manual company huh? What clear instructions.

Me too....

I didn't realize it enabled you to zoom that close as before the screen had shown a slight error when I tried. I am assuming it may have been because I clicked on it too fast and the map was unable to load properly, but now the location I have put in now is on the exact house in front of a fork in the road ultimately being a circle.

As an aside to this, I seem to remember a photo-gallery of members. Does this

still exist?

Have you guys happened to notice that you can switch the map view to satellite and Hybrid in which you can actually view the peoples house, and/or change your entries to be more accurate and to let everyone see the house you actually live in?

I just noticed that not too long ago, although I have had trouble in re-entering my location.

I have updated it, and you can see the house I live in. :yh_bigsmi

(I noticed some peoples entries are in yards. :wah: )

I guess I should remove myself from this thing, after all it gives the exact spot, plus I posted a pic of my house on Koans City Blues thread.

Saying that, with the ancient weaponry collection I have, it would take a pretty stupid person to try and surprise me.

I couldn't even see your house as is the same with alot of other members...

It only allows a close up of certain areas...

Unless of course yours is the only house within a mile(km) or so...But just the same, if anyone were that dedicated they could get that information extremely easy anyway...At least they can here in the states...Birth certificates are public record...Yet you need a birth certificate to get a new drivers license, go figure.
