Lol! I haven't noticed this thread before!

Chips are great with mayonaise or french mustard.

Helmans do a really nice extra light mayonaise now thats really lemony. mmmmm.......

Chip shop mushy peas are great - much better than tinned ones! :p

they smoosh (technical term ;) ) the peas up and fry them in batter. A lot of chip shops make them too dry and horrible, but my local chippy make them perfectly.

You should eat the batter but I pick the top open, sprinkle vinegar in and pull them out with a fork. Yummmmmmm..................

I asked for chips and got chips in batter!! Chips in batter!! As if they're not bad enough just deep fried they put them in batter!!

Of course I had to test them out. Not bad actually but I felt very guilty eating them :D

Eek, they sound really stodgy!

Chips and curry sauce, yum. :D

They are mainly carbohydrate (if that's what you mean by "carb"), yes. Other

vegetables contain large amounts of carbohydrates, too. Do you have a lot

os carbohydrates?

I think a better name for the British chip mascot would be "SUPER FRY GUY" and have a cool looking chip with shades, a a fedora, and a cane, with lots of lady chips hanging round a swimming pool of lard, in little chip bikinis. It would be cool, no? Or has my lack of proper sleep finally sent me over the edge? Hehehe.

Fish and chips are just the best thing ever, especially when you are at the seaside, can't go to the coast without having fish and chips. The last time we went to skegness, to round off the day we baught fish and chips and took them onto the beach and ate them looking out to the open sea, and enjoying the evening sun, It had been a scorching day, it was just the perfect ending to a brilliant day trip.
