It would be proper to speak here

Post by spot »

Hi people. My name's Spot and I'm an ambidextrous part-European adult male.

I found I was ambidextrous at the age of 7, after breaking my right wrist. By the time the plastercast came off, I was writing tolerably with my left hand. Switching hands at pool is neat, too.

Everyone in Britain is part-European, right now. We have the choice of reducing Westminster to the status that the US State Assemblies have, and becoming properly European, or of retaining local control of foreign policy and being a sovereign nation. Me, I'd scrap Westminster and let the Russians join up too, the world needs more superpowers.

I'd like a bicycle. My last one broke, I've taken to walking instead of riding, so I stay more fit than I would if I did nothing but it takes me longer. A bike is a definite bonus in life.

I look forward to getting to know more of you. Thank you for inviting me to join.

Welcome from the world's only Superpower.

I don't think Russia qualifies as one.

You don't have to be proper to speak here, but it's a wonderful gesture. Welcome aboard. It's not a bike but it takes you places.

Oh... neither do I, Philadelphia Eagle. I do think Europe as a Union has the potential to be one, though, and I'd like it a lot if Russia was a part of that. Something, somewhere, needs to balance the world.

Hi spot! I like your username! It reminds me of a story I used to read in the second grade:

See Jane.

See Dick.

See Dick and Jane work.

See Spot.

See Spot watch Dick and Jane work.

Spot is no dope.

Thank you, gentlemen and Madam. I'm overwhelmed with your assorted kindnesses. I hope to meet you all in future threads.

I wondered, as I was growing up, why I got odd looks for casually saying that I swung both ways on the Tennis courts. Ambidexterity can lead to embarrassment.

What???

That's an open invitation to pile on the newbie and tear his wings off?

I was shredded within a fortnight of posting this. If I have a hide like a rhino it's there for a reason! My goodness, I posted a thread or two from an entirely centrist standing and it was like Pearl Harbor on here.

Just don't mention Vietnam, okay?

Oh - and yes, I got the bike. I've even had it out and oiled it this year.

I'll book myself in for therapy now, it's my only hope.

Next time I'm in Minnesota I'll take you out for an evening meal and see where it leads, Nomie, how's that? And don't think I don't mean it either.
