Don't read if you have a sensitive stomach.

People complain today of how lethal injection is inhumane- take a read of these methods. It's abhorrent what the human mind can dream up to torture others.

Interesting. Thanks RG!

Ive experienced Tean Zu. Sort of. Me and my brother were moving some logs for a bonfire a few years ago. I tripped and reached out to stop my fall. My fingers hit, my hand didn't. EXCRUCIATING to say the least! :-1
The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

Yeah, Back then I had a bad habit of biting my nails. I dont know if it would have made a difference to have had longer nails, but I dont bite them anymore. :)

You notice how some of the worst as in painful and humilating tortures were dreamt up by religious authorities especially those aimed against women, although there were one or two aimed at ripping out genitals. In scotland the church took over the property of anyone accused of withchcraft a surprising number of witches were single women with property. Not that I'm cynical or anything.

I remember someon telling me once that their definition of pain would be described as sliding down a razor sharp knife on your testicles and landing in a pool of vinegar and salt water not sure how they came to that but it still brings a tear to the eye :-1

Hello Guys,

Children were not treated differently in those days. Age was simply not a factor when deciding who to abuse. Sex was - younger females would be violated brutally and repeatedly..and would be kept alive longer specifically for the pleasure of the men who brutalized them.

I remember my dad building a guillotine once for halloween. It turned out great. As far as other torture devices maybe contact a madam.

In what sense is a guillotine a device capable of torture? Quite the reverse, I'd say.

In what sense it it a greater mental torture than any other form of execution, cars?

In terms of physical pain and a conscious awareness of death I'd have thought it was definitely minimal. In terms of preparation time it's less than lethal injection, hanging, firing squad, toppling off a cliff into the river while sharing a sack with a dog and a snake, the list could be extended indefinitely. What on earth have you got against the guillotine?

The way they're designed it wouldn't matter if the blade was filed flat at the end instead of pointed, you still get fifty pounds of metal meeting one vertebra at around twenty five miles an hour. Come on cars, you have to admit it's as fast and as painless a death as has ever been devised by any legal system. You weren't kept worrying back in Robespierre's day either - you could go from accusation to grave in under an hour.

In the film Carry On Don't Lose Your Head, the character played by Jim Dale is about to be executed. Someone tells him he has a note from Robespierre, and he says, "Put it in the basket, I'll read it later on."

And the posters offered "a freshly sliced loaf every five minutes", if I remember. And Kenneth Williams played Citizen Camembert, the Big Cheese of the Secret Police. They don't make them like that any more.
