Ok, friends...
I've owned a web domain/space for quite some time now, and various time and design constraints have worked to keep me from doing anything with this site as of yet. So, for now, I'm going to turn it into my professional page, containing my C.V., research, publications, photography, etc. etc.
However, I suffer from an inability to design my own websites. I can design just fine for other people, but I can never please myself. To that end, I'm looking for ideas on the design elements for the website. I need ideas on the color scheme, logo, graphics and layout. The site is "Modern Archaeology", and I'm looking for some ideas along those lines. I'm currently considering a grayish/blueish color scheme, 3-column layout.
I've attached a few graphics I've already whipped up in Photoshop, but of course these can always change!
What do you think? Anybody out there want to propose any ideas?

That's okay! The Latin text is just a placeholder; it's a little thing webdesigners do to see how the site will look with content. You're not meant to understand it
I'm just working on the actual layout of the site, content will come when I'm done.
