Big Brother? Hit Him (the Government) Back, And Hard!

Post by weinbeck »

Despite the fact that there are now more CCTV's and security systems in operation in London alone than there there are in the whole of New York, our Big Brother Government is still not satisfied, and has now not only taken arial photographs of every home in the United Kingdom, and encroaching on our privacy by granting beaurocrats the right to enter your property to view the inside of your home under the guise of reassesing the rateable value of your property, they now intend to take it even further by asking you to fill in a survey asking you what newspapers you read on a regular basis, and, would you believe it, whether or not you belong to a dating agency - this, to assess the value of your property!! Well, two can play at that game - if you want your property to stay on a low price band, tell them you read The Sun (no disrespect). If you want to upgrade the band generally, tell them you read The Financial Times - have fun at their expense. They even want to gradually introduce black-box type technology into every new car, so that not only can they tax you per mile, they will also have the technology to know exactly where and when you use your car!

Well I feel it is high time that we, as a nation, hit back in unity. Providing there is no impairment of vision, technically, there is absolutely nothing preventing every person in the United Kingdom driving to work wearing a mask over their face, or coming out of the railway station so that the tinpot Hitlers sitting behind the screens will be unable to identify you. Paranoid? I work in the City area of London, It is a known fact, that during the course of the day, the average person is filmed or photographed somewhere in the region of three hundred times. I have had enough of these Big Brother tatics by the Government.

For want of a better date, July 4th. Indipendance Day is a perfect day to say "UP YOURS" to any CCTV or police camera, and there is nothing they can do about it. You are not breaking any laws. If enough people do it on that one day, it could throw the entire security system into total chaos, especially if you then swap masks with a similarly attired colleague at the end of the day - they won't know who they're trailing. Why should we put up with what is fast approaching a totallitarian police state? Why should we fill in forms asking us personal questions that are of no business except to ourselves. They even want to know how many people in your household own a computer. Why? It's obvious, isn't it - so that they can impose yet another stealth tax, where all computers will have to be licenced! They were even thinking of introducing a bicycle tax - about £35.00 per year. Forget about kicking Blair out - Labour, Conservative, Liberal - whoever get in are only going to feather their own nests.

Ring the date - July 4th. Independence Day, and independent from the Government. No doubt by posting this, my name will be noted by somebody as a political aggitator! GRRR!

I know this may depend on the certain circumstances, and the competence of the person assessing your homes, but wouldn't that be better than them driving by and making their assessment just by merely looking at the houses, obviously inclining them to value your homes excessively in the event of their own doubt?

In Czechoslovakia, they had a velvet revolution.

In Ukraine, they had an orange revolution.

In Britain, we need something similar, with a new party to vote for, that will bring back some common sense and freedom for the law abiding citizens of this country.

There is so much red tape and bureaucracy for the law abiding citizens whilst the real criminals do as they like.

The time will come when you won't be able to break wind unless you fill in a ten page form first and then fax it to the relevant authorities - in triplicate - even in your own house.

I don't give this Government one penny more than I have to, and I'm not the only one who takes this attitude. That is why I don't smoke, do the lottery or pay them an additional £85.00 by buying a private number plate. (They're so collectable, there are over 1,000,000 personalised number plates for sale at any one time.) Lol. That's an extra £85,000,000.00 for the Government to feather their own nests. When I have work done on my house, it is paid for in cash! I'm not interested in receipts or invoices, and neither are they. Whether they declare it or not is down to their conscience. Everything I buy comes from a bootsale. Why should the Government know every full stop and comma about how you conduct your life? I'm stuck in this country for the rest of my life, but if I had my time again, I'd head straight for Canada or Australia.

Weinbeck. I'm stunned at the things you've mentioned! Angry too! Big Brother indeed. That is obscene and should be stopped at once.
