Post by LondonFan of MJ! »

Have you ever been on TV? Filmed while out and about?

Maybe you have appeared as an "extra" on something?

Or do you know someone who's famous?

If you do.. then post it here! I find this interesting!

I've always wanted to be an "extra" on Eastenders! I'm working on it!

I have been a few times but I'd rather not say what the recent one was.

(Claire knows why)

Sad you can't say about that one because of bigots. :-5

I know of two, Panorama and MR MOTIVATOR. :wah:

I was in the audience of An Audience with Westlife, nothing special, no speaking, just drooling over Shane Filan. :wah:

I used to teach a guy who used to bang on about him starring in Holyoaks.... its not a programme I watch sooo i was unimpressed!

The town in which I live is home to two pints of larger and a packet of crisps, mersey beat (first series) and the film Millions (my daughter's best friend is in that film) and my mums neighbours house was the set for a storyline in Mersey Beat..... so I spent the day watching filming which was brill!

I was on TV 42 years ago. It was the Roswell cut in for the Captain Kangaroo show. I could not quit giggling. I still remember being embarrassed when my classmates teased me. I've never had a desire to be in the spotlight since.

I was in New York in 1967. A buddy and I got USO tickets to the Ed Sullivan show. When we got there they seated us and we could barely see the stage. Ed came out and looked over the audience. He saw we were in uniform and had us moved to the second row from the stage. Durnig the show he introduced Abby Lane. She was sitting right behind us. I later learned he would put servicemen where they would be seen when he introduced the celeb in the audience.

Yes, when my daughter was born (early December 12 yrs ago) she was tiny and in special care, there was a Christmas party for the children that had been in SCBU and they were featured on tv so were me and Becks - they wanted the smallest baby in SCBU to compare with the older kids.

I have been on radio too - Steve Wright's Big Quiz on radio 2.

I've been on Irish TV a few times playing music and that, and my sister and I were extras in that movie "Circle of Friends" with Mini Driver (annoying), your man Chris O'Donnell from America, (very short), and Saffron Burrows, (nicer than you would think), Colin Firth (decent fellow) I found that, generally, being on TV and doing that film stuff is very boring unless you are really famous and you get loads of easy money for it, then its brilliant. The best on was that I was on Tizwas when I was little in England in the 1970s, that was fantastic, and the phantom flan flinger was there, Lenny Henry, Sally James, Tarrant, brilliant! :wah: :wah: :wah:

I was on a local Bay Area TV show when I was a kid, called Captain Sattelite. I was on Bowling For Dollars in LA when I was 20. I was on TV at least 3 times that I know of with my dog, when I volunteered & WENT to the World Trade Center after 9/11

As for knowing famous people? I have met many in my line of work. I don't know them as in going to their house for BBQ's or anything, but I meet them while I am designing for them. I design very expensive custom homes for people. I have had many professional Football, Basketball, & Baseball players as clients. I have also done houses for 2 pro golfers. I am currently in LA to see a client I designed a house for, who is a pro baseball player that was just traded. His name is Jason Schmidt.

I was on TV once- I was an extra for One Tree Hill with Chad Michael Murray- he waved to me and winked- i dont think hes all that cute! haha

And I was a featured extra in a movie coming out this June called Evan Almighty with Steve Carell,Lauren Graham, andMorgan Freeman! I can't wait to see it! Steve Carell actually pulled me into the ark! And Jonah Hill (Accepted) sat outside the holding area for a while and talked to me about kids and Hollywood!
