I love ferrets but they aren't the easiest pet to take care of. I swear when I had mine it got into more things than my children did when they were toddlers.:wah:

It was better when it was legal to have their sweat glands taken out too. They do need a lot of attention don't they but they're so much fun too. :)

You know it's funny, they are "illegal" here in California, yet you go into

a place like PetSmart, and ferret supplies are all OVER the place!! LOL

I guess maybe the law isn't rigidly enforced or something?!?!?!?

More care should be taken I think where animals are concerned as to making sure they'll be cared for properly so it isn't such a bad thing maybe.

I'd keep Canadian Minks if it were allowed but that's considered so dangerous the UK has strict laws to stop me even suggesting it.

Hello All This is Wneelz42 Mom, Just to update all, All the Ferrets are getting along great. Sassy trys to beat up the older ones though! :wah: She Thinks shes like her mom Wneelz, One tough cookie! Anyway they are getting spoiled rotten. We went and bought them a "Ferret Play pen" This weekend. Also about 50 buck in toys!! Plus we are going to a "Sewing" party that the local ferret rescue group puts on so the will get more surprizes next weekend!!! Some worry that we have taken on to much but we love them all and given that we have the love and resources we figure what the heck!! We will post photos ASAP! Can't wait to show them off!~ Mines name is DRACULA... She is 1 1/2 yrs young and has spent most of her life in a pet store! I fell in Love as soon as I heard She had been bought and Brought back 4 times!! She needed a forever home! now she has it! Then there is Prince who is 6 months old and Taoshe Who is around 9 months Old All were at the same pet store and we were told the were going to sent them back to wholesaler because of there ages. Anyway enough of that. Have a great night!!

we have two ferrets in my home...one is rocky and one is named cocoa..when my daughter plays home games at soccer i take rocky on his leash to the games...he loves to dive in my purse and empty it....stuff comes flying out of it every few minutes and then he likes to take my drink bottle and try and put it in my purse....he is hilarious to watch.....ferrets like shiney things. i have to watch them or they will take my keys and try and get my earrrings off......i have came close to choking one one time to get him to hack my earring out of his mouth.....:p
