If I were to come visit your part of the world, what is one or two things I would have to see or visit before I left? Don't forget to say where your at (atleast vaguely).

Here, just south of Springfield, Mo, you would have to visit Branson, which is an all day event. Lots of shows and entertainment parks. Its a good place to take kids.

And then there is Bass Pro in Springfield. All my visitors from out-of-state want to check it out. Hunting, fishing, camping, any outdoor sports are available. Plus, a clothing section and boats. They also have a Wildlife museum which is really nice, or so I'm told.

I live in Houston, Texas. You must visit the Galleria. You must pay a visit to the Strand in Galveston. If you have kids, it's a good idea to take them to The Boardwalk in Kemah. Go visit the Museum District. Go to the zoo. Visit the San Jacinto Monument and Battlegrounds. There are tons of things that you have to do in Houston. :-6

CHRISTCHURCH NEW ZEALAND-------A city of 375,000 and the third largest in NZ after Auckland & Wellington. Known as the most English City outside of England. Flower gardens abound and the huge Hagley Park in the center of town with it's magnificent trees is a plus. The Avon River meanders thru out town where office workers find respite on it's banks at lunchtime. It's many sidewalk cafe's with their multi-colored umbrellas provide a pleasant place to lunch or just have a drink and relax. Cathedral Square with it's large Anglican Cathedral is a popular tourist attraction, particularly when the Buskers appear in February. I live in a suburb called "Redcliff's" (guess why?) on the huge Christchurch Estuary. I have a view of not only the estuary, but the opening of the Estuary, out to the Pacific Ocean.

Fall has begun in this South of the Equator part of the world and it's turning cold. I look forward to getting back to the warmth of California this coming Sunday.

my neighborhood includes the only living coral reef in north america. lots of tourist stuff, but what matters is florida bay and the reef. the keys are heaven, click here, www.fla-keys.com.

I live in the Lake District North East England so i would take you fell walking so you could see the wonderful views of the lake district. Then you would have to go and take a boat trip across the lake which is lovely in the summer.

You'd have to see Lands End by way of a cliff walk when the sea is rough and at it's best!, St Michaels Mount, Mousehole - best at christmas for the lights, Golden sand on Hayle beach and the sand dunes, Eden project, all the cute little fishing coves all around! Not much shopping to be found though! Unless you like paintings and holiday nik-naks!!

Crikey where to begin? What are your interests? Historical, which period, prehistoric, medeival, modern, industrial, social, cultural. Like going out? cinema, theatre, folk music, rock music, classical what's your preference. Outdoor pursuits? Mountain biking, hillwalking, climbing,skiing (well maybe not that one thanks to global warming) but you can go look at where you used to be able to ski) Sailing, water skiing, horse racing, pony trekking, Like scenery when it's not raining its quite spectacular in bits.

Like haunted places, scenes of murder, witchcraft, bodysnatching.

Thanks for all your posts. I'm going to print them out and visit many sites by way of internet. Thats how I will be traveling for awhile until the baby is older. Then I want her to travel as well...something I didn't get to do much as a child. This gives me many ideas on places to go someday ((dreaming)).

I live around 25 miles north-west of Philadelphia close to 'Amish' country.

You would spend some time visiting the Amish people and purchase some of their super homemade foodstuffs and handwoven tapestries.

You could visit the famous Valley Forge Park and see the encampments faithfully restored from the days of the War of Independence and ,of course, Gettysburg and historic Philadelphia including Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and Betsy Ross House.

If you have time you could then visit the Daniel Boone Homestead before relaxing at Dorney Park Wildwater Kingdom where you can ride the world's fastest rollercoaster!

And finally, if you like chocolate, you must visit Hershey - home of the famous chocolate manufacturers with its Chocolate Museum for adults and children alike.
