Change Your Clock!

Post by chonsigirl »

We have to change our clocks earlier this year, per governmental decree.

What do you think about this?

Have you installed the latest computer patches to cover this contigency?

I have heard numerous complaints from people in the business world, and the problems this is already causing.

I looked into this and a simple windows update will take care of the time change on your pc.

That is good to know. I know my college students were complaining alot last night, with many glitches in their gadgets.:wah:

Those raspberries or whatever they are called, are not all taking the patches well done here.

I told them to manually change the time! Just like I do on the clock in my car.

:wah:

I never change it! It will be the right time again on Sunday!

Whats all this about? We don't have this I think, or do we, either way, I haven't noticed as usual, oh well, what the hey, I will just be a few hours off everyone else, though that might be problematic as well.

It is a silly idea to start with, I really dislike it.

Governmental interference with the daily lives of people. Like changing the clock, is changing the order of the universe or something.

That is sad Canada is changing too, because we are. I wish we were like Arizona, I bet they won't change!

I love it! I can't wait to *not* put on my headlights driving home from work in the evening. It's lovely to have some extra daylight at the end of a day :-6

For me, it's worth losing an hour of sleep over :p

Yes, I understand why Canada is changing.

The kids in my class were worried they would miss business meetings.

It is still strange that we change the time, I would like to see the stats that says we save money and energy from it nowdays. I don't really believe we do, not in this modern age.

Hello Minxsy you lovely person :-6

I am just fine -- the back has its good days :) and bad days:( . But overall, I can't complain: I've got two arms, two legs and two breasts, so I figure I'm ahead of the game!

And how is my *awesome* friend to the north? :-4

It's cold and windy here, but should hit the 40s F by Saturday.

As long as I don't have to shovel anything, I'm happy :p

Gosh!!! That means our time change is also imminent, but not that imminent - so North America is going to be out of kilter with Australia.. I don't think we change till the end of the month- Sunday 25 March, in fact. And we go back an hour then - which means it won't be so pitch black when I get up to go to the gym (I tossed that bit of virtuousness in quite gratuitously!!)

I love Autumn and already there are the first signs here - cooler nights, softer light, coloured leaves on deciduous trees (most native trees here are evergreen).

Well, as you know minks, I love your Canadian white stuff. Grin. But you can have too much of a good thing. It's great to have the cycle of the seasons.. though with being on the road so much my seasons often turn maniacally. :sneaky:

DST is a waste no matter "when" it starts! The "so-called' saving energy seems like it's a "wash". So you turn the lights on "later" in the PM, but then have to turn them on earlier in the AM!

Why the h*ll don't they just leave it "one" way all year long, & stop messing up everyone's lives twice a year?! :wah:
