Blasts from the Past

Remember....

Beer and soda tabs that you actually had to peel off?

Pop machines where you'd open the door, brace your foot against the machine and grab the bottleneck and pull, hoping it wouldn't break off?

Cigarette machines in restaurants with all the pretty buttons?

Salvo Tablets laundry detergent?

Transistor radios?

The key on the Spam can?

Body on Tap shampoo?

Those red cellophane "Chinese Fortune Telling Fish" that would move in your hand like "magic?"

Firecracker "worms" you'd light on the 4th of July and they'd burn a black circle into your sidewalk?

Being the paper monitor?

KC & The Sunshine Band?

When pop came in tall glass bottles and how much better it tasted in glass?

Your turn.... :)

candy cigarettes reminded me of bottle caps and the wax bottle juicy things...

I remember going to the drug store and having a whole dollar to spend and walking away with enough candy for 2-3 days!! (well a normal kid, I ate in one setting...of course!!):D :p

Penny in the slot toilets

Button A and B on public telephones (and pushing button B hoping the last person had forgotten his change)

Scratchins from the chippy

Conductors on busses (and Inspectors to check up on them)

Telegrams for urgent messages (not that I ever had any)

Short trousers for school.

Oh man, I would say I only know about 5% of these things.

I do remeber the dodge charger, I had one, it was an antique.

All I can think of is pop rocks.
