Major American news networks are getting reports from Western England that a leading person in the community there has been laid low by a mysterious illness.

His name is 'Bothwell' and suspicions are growing that foul play may well be the cause of the problem.

These suspicions are centered upon the collective members of an American Chat Forum as 'Bothwell' (probably not his real name) has threatened more than once to kidnap one of the Forum's most popular members - known as Lady Cop - and transport her to England where it is assumed she will be held against her will.

"This dastardly crime must not be allowed to take place" a Forum spokesperson is reported as saying. "We will do everything possible to stop Bothwell's evil intentions"

At present Lady Cop is safe and well in the United States and our reporters are standing by to bring you the latest developments as they unfold.

We must organize an Anti-Bothwellian Task Force to combat the spread of "Bothwellianism" throughout the world. I propose that the United States should invade England to overthrow their corupt government and install a puppet government. We can probably find Bothwell in a spider hole after that.

If I may reply on my own behalf.

fear not the American invasion my stout Yeomen. at the first roundabout they will become confused, we will then force them to take part in mass Morris dancing to emasculate the men, finally we will subject them to British dentistry a la Austin powers. if any of this fails we will send them to Scotland and feed them deep fried mars bars until they peg out.

BTW I think from my reading of history Mary was quite happy to be "Kidnapped" by Bothwell. I seem to remember one of her ministers making the following remark "It will be hard to bring the charge on him when the subject was so compliant"
