As you know, I don't generally get into too much of the being a "mad Irish fella" stuff, but seeing as its paddy's day I will indulge a little bit of the auld Oirishness and wish you all, whoever you are, a good day, and if you are going to drink, please do so responsibly, our patron saint would only be mortified otherwise. :wah:

May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
The corned beef is on, the soda bread is going to be baked in awhile-us Irish over here are going to eat well tonight.
But I will miss my little English grandpa-who married my Irish granny. On St. Patrick's Day he dressed in a bright orange shirt, oh he was funny, and would sit down to indulge in the food of the Emerald Isle with the family. With my grandma giving him the eye the whole time! Needless to say, all of us grandkids were laughing the whole time, a lovely tradition it became.

Galbally, funny thing just happened to me a few hours ago. I saw a cute t-shirt in a store that was green and white and said "I Love Ireland". I actually thought of you when I saw it. And of course my grandfather who came from Ireland. But I didn't buy it.

Yes, its called the Irish sea! :wah: I think that when Ireland had a land link to Britain and the continent, it was a glacial period and the climate was too cold and frigid in Ireland for snakes to take hold, also the whole Island was covered in an ice sheet, but yes, its a bit strange when you consider that Britain has plenty of snakes and its only 18 miles between Scotland and Northern Ireland, and also that snakes have never been successfully imported by accident or design either, thats kinda interesting init?
