Okay here's one for ya....

I was going through a VERY stressfull time in my life, and I was cleaning the house, actually having to flea bomb the house and I had stuff everywhere, on the kitchen counters so that the chemicals wouldn't get on pots and pans and dishes, I threw towells on top of it all, forgetting of course that there was a scented candle lit UNDER that sheet. Went into the bathroom and started to take my shower, heard a POP...came out to my kitchen counter in FLAMES!!, throwing water on everything, throwing the towells out the back door in my Birthday suit!! Thankfully my land is tree lined and neighbors can't see me easily....ughhhhh....:-5 :-5

I stuck an ice pick through my finger trying to pop the links out of a bicycle chain when I was a kid...

Everyone I think knows about me syphering gas out of my fathers truck with a shop vac, in which blew up upon me flipping the switch...

When I was about 23 I broke both my thumbs, my nose and made hamburger meat out of my face trying to do a front flip out of a swing. Back flips are easy but your thumbs tend to tangle in the chains on your way out of the swing when going foreward.

The summer I was 16 I had something going on with the guy across the road.

I was always cool in front of him but a mess when he wasn't looking. I watched him out my bedroom window the whole summer with my dad's binoculars. I stupidly thought he couldn't see me spying on him and when we were together he never said anything about it. Then one day he was out in the yard with his brother and they both waved at me. I like to died on the spot. But I credit him for never mentioning it to me. Which proves he was cooler than I was. :o

We came back from Melbourne one day and found white powder all over the place when I asked my son what it was (he was house-sitting for us) he seemed as stunned as we were. (Or so I thought) turns out he almost burned down the house........... .but that's not the stupid bit...................... He tried to hide it from us but forgot to clean up the dry chem that he used to put the fire out......but that's not the stupid bit....it got worse....... I asked him how fire could jump out of an enclosed heater........well apparently it does that when you pour petrol over it:-2 ...........but that's not the stupid bit..............he knew what he was doing was dangerous sooooo just in case, he stood around to the side of the heater and poured the petrol on it, where did the flame go ? straight up his arm. but that's not the stupid bit..................the idiot , in the hope that he could cover up his stupidity put the extinguisher back into the cupboard. So the next time we needed it, it would be empty.:-5

Yes I know I bred him it's my fault. DOH!

Sorry, I laughed!

Today's stupid moment - looked the wrong way when hubby gave a warning squeak in Ikea - he dropped the flat pack shelf on my head and shoulder - ouch! (actually I think that may be his stupid moment too)

Back when I was a kid, it was the Fourth of July, and we all watched my Uncle place a lit 2-inch firecracker under a coffee can & run back. When it went off, it blew the coffee can about 50 feet up in the air. He did this about 5 or 6 times successfully. :) So I wanted to do the same thing, and he gave me one of those firecrackers. I lit it, and started to put it under the coffee can, but before I got it under the can, "BAM" it went off in my hand cause it had a short fuse. The first thing (After the shock) I did was to count my fingers, luckily all 5 were still there, but all red and swollen. Then everybody around came to check on me, they were all yelling and talking to me but I could not hear them due to the terrible loud ringing in my ears! It was going on about 3 or so days before I could actually hear anyone speaking to me. It took many years before I would touch Fireworks again. And now, if I rarely do, they are the kind that sits on it's own stand & I just light it with a long 18" long punk.
