Should i stay or should i go ?????

Post by abbey »

Here's the thing, i have a ticket to go see my team play Roma tomorrow night.

I'll be going alone and it looks like there could be trouble.

09/04/2007

FOOTBALL thugs called Ultras have bought most of Roma's 3,700 tickets for tomorrow's Champions League quarterfinal clash at Manchester United.

They have also printed T-shirts promising a "Roman invasion of Manchester" - making police fear more of the violence which marred last week's Italian capital first leg.

Eleven English supporters went to hospital, some with stab wounds.

Thing is, do i let these thugs spoil my night and stay home?

No, don't let mindless idiots spoil your fun. Just keep your head down and you should be able to avoid any trouble. Enjoy. (well, as much as you can enjoy footie:D )

probably one of the few times that you'll be told it is safer to be a woman.

I can't for the life of me see anyone deciding to knife you abbey. Unless you're a mouthy b**** when you watch sports. :wah:

Me, otoh, I'd start the fight. :o

I'd go and keep watchful on the way out, missing a match that big would be awful.

Buy a souveneir baseball bat or something-I know it's a different sport-and carry it very carefully.

Wow, thugs ruining the fans game! That is horrid.

Maybe you should go as it's probably the last time they'll be playing in Europe this season.

That sounds like a mum..........................

Gosh abbey, go in with the home crowd, go out with them. You should be safe, talk to a cute bobby and all for protection..............:D

Are you afraid to go?

*said in seriousness*

Or are you still not certain yet?

In all honesty, not sure.

It's silly really, there'll be around 70.000 Utd fans and 3500 Roma, they'd be stupid to create trouble......surely!

If you don't go, some troublemaker will get in instead. How's that for an argument? (Or will they just leave the seat empty?)
