Booking flights but not leaving the country

I'm gonig to London again in July and seeing as i wont be leaving the UK will i need to take my passport with me i'm abit confused about this so if anybody could help i'll be really greatful

I'm pretty sure you will have to take your passport as the air carriers need it as proof of ID before you fly.

You can get away with a photo drivers licence but they prefer a passport

Don't forget to change your money although you can sell the £1 notes at a premium in the right circles:sneaky:

Just to back up what the others have said - it has to be photographic id, the new driving licence is ok but passport just makes everything much easier.
