I have Comcast Cable when in the U.S. only because they do not require a one year contract as does Satellite. Also, my Broadband connection is with them. I discontinue both when I leave for New Zealand and pick it up when I return. Can't do that with Satellite.

In New Zealand I have Sky (Satellite) and use Telecom for my Broadband connection.

I really like Satellite better than Cable.

I have Comcast by default. They bought out Time Warner.

I upgraded my service with them, the guy came out and left before it was done. Just left. :-3 So I called and the customer svc lady and she told me to get to the point....:-3

We have DirecTv sattelite, because Rick wanted the NFL package, and no other company offers it. I was perfectly happy with cable prior to that.

The down side to sattelite is the tough time you have keeping a stable signal if the weather is bad. The other day it rained all eveing, and we did not have a good signal for anything.

So you're saying satellite is better? :D

Ive got cable, but not by choice.
The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

I have had satellite for at least 20 yrs. Yup had one of them big 12 footers in my back yard years ago. I prefer satellite to cable for the sports (NFL package especially). I have tivo and 4 receivers throughout the house.

I tried Satellite about 10 years ago and highly disliked it. I didn't realize it had been that long ago, made me use the "ole thinker there Nomad, how crazy is that at 10am in the morning....

Anywayyyy, I have comcast cable and it works just fine for what the kids and I need it for. I pay extra to have the silly box to watch pay per view and hardly EVER use it....my middle son tells me all the time to turn it back in, costing moeny that we don't need to waste...my little conservative one!!

Yes, I'm a woman, could care less about sports....of course the REASON why we have pay per view was for a Wrestling Event..:-5

FMC is better. They don't have commercials. Two of my favorite also. Love old movies almost as much as the NFL.

Given the option I would go back to cable in a heartbeat. We are still with Time Warner in this area. Here in the Rochester area they have a 24 hour local news channel called R-News. Similar format as CNN but all local. I kind of miss that. Especially during some of the bad weather we have had here...it was tough getting local weather reports during "off" times.

We have DishNetwork and really like it. It's cheaper than cable and get more channels. I also like that we can set up favorites lists and when on the favorites list you only flick through those channels. I have one set up specifically for my kids with mom approved channels. :)
