Feeling Depressed Today - HELP

Post by Pheasy »

Well the old bird is feeling a little flat today (no road kill jokes please :) ). Got out the wrong side of the nest I suppose. The fledglings are both at flying school. I washed and blow dried my feathers. Cleaned the nest (had to collect a few extra twigs too). Went to the Birdy Bank and deposited some eggs. Picked up a bottle of 'pond water' from the 'moaning and ghosts' store - thats for later. Got a pack of Corn Cob Lights - trying to give them up but the darn patches won't stick to my feathers. On the way home saw a dead pheasant (i thought 'that sucks' ) later I saw a dead skunk (i thought 'that stinks').

So come on FG please cheer me up with your best wit and humour :)

how about a joke????

The Rabbi

>>This is a story about a popular young Rabbi who, on Sabbath Eve,

>>announces to his congregation that he will not renew his contract. He

>>explains that he must move on to a larger congregation that will pay him

>>more. There is a hush. No one wants him to leave.

>>Sol Epstein, who owns a couple of Toyota and Lexus

>>dealerships in the city stands up and proclaims: "If the Rabbi stays, I

>>will

>>provide him with a new Lexus every year and his wife with a Toyota Sienna

>>to transport their children!"

>>The congregation sighs in appreciation, and applauds.

>>Sam Goldstein, a successful entrepreneur and investor,

>>stands and says:Ifthe Rabbi will stay on here, I'll personally double his

>>salary, and also estab lish a foundation to guarantee the college education >>of all his children!!"

>>More sighs and loud applause.

>>Sadie Goldfarb, age 88, stands and announces with a smile,

>>If theRabbi stays, I will give him sex!"

>>There is total silence. The Rabbi, blushing, asks her: "Mrs.

>>Goldfarb, whatever possessed you to say that?"

>>Sadie's 90 year old husband Jacob is now trying to hide,

>>holding his forehead with the palm of his hand and shaking

>>his head from side to side while his wife replies: "Well, I just asked my

>>husband how we could help, and he said, "***** the Rabbi".

:wah::wah::wah:

no offense to anyone here!!

The old 'birdy blues' have now flown away. My older chick was sick this morning so didn't go to flying school. The weather is wonderful today (much better than the nor'easter last week!). My older chick and I spent the morning down by the lake with the dogs. I sometimes worry about my brittany spaniel - she keeps giving me that 'I want to grab you up and carry you back to my master' look :-3 . The chick and I spent 2 hours watching the dogs swimming and having pebble skimming competitions - its was wonderful - great quality birdy bonding time. Thanks to you all for cheering me up yesterday it was just what the doctor ordered :-4 :-4
