We're watching Stuart Little 3, I'm very disappointed, I didn't realise it was animated or I wouldn't have bought it.

Blood Simple. Stunning plot with no loose ends, a tremendous performance by M. Emmet Walsh who's reminiscent of J. Lee Cobb in a lot of ways. It was the first effective film noir since The Manchurian Candidate, I reckon, and that's a twenty year gap.

Dawn Of The Dead (2004)
The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

Last weekend we rented The Illusionist and Night Listener off Pay Per View. Both were pretty good..with twisty endings.

If you have not yet seen The Illusionist, but are planning to, my only suggestion is to pay attention..I think if you only half follow the movie, you may not get how it turns out.

I watched last night the Snakes on a Plane and the Goodbye Charlie Bright..

Goodbye Charlie Bright by Nick Love.. This film reflects the main character, Charlie's frustration. He is stuck in a council estate and wants to move on to bigger and better things. His best friend Justin is holding him back, and Charlie struggles to break out of his social surroundings.

Nick made a worthy film which has sense of humanity like his Outlaw film this year..:guitarist

Premonition..? with Sandra Bullock..?when is this film to be released here in the uk? I’m also waiting this film¦at this time more curious to know more about the documentary film of Julien Temple¦title Joe Strummer: The Future is Unwritten¦as what I got info’s regarding this documentary film, it covers about the real life story of Joe Strummer which revolves in music of the Clash Band..

From their earliest days as a band, the Clash stood apart from their punk peers with their musicianship, as well as their lyrics; the passionate, left wing political idealism in the lyrics of frontmen Joe Strummer and Mick Jones contrasted with the nihilism of the Sex Pistols and the three-chord simplicity of the Ramones. Although they were a major success in the UK from the release of their first album in 1977, they did not become popular in the US until 1980

Their third album, the late 1979 release London Calling is considered by many critics to be one of the greatest albums in the history of rock music; it was released in the US in January 1980, and a decade later Rolling Stone magazine declared it the best album of the 1980s. Rolling Stone also placed it at #8 on their list in 2003 of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

The Clash's attitude and style, as much as their music, strongly influenced countless other bands. In 2003 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked The Clash [1] #30 on their list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.[2] Their record company once dubbed them "The Only Band That Matters," a phrase which caught on with their fans, and has since become closely associated with them.

The Omen III The Final Conflict
"Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars. Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, 'I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight', people would say, 'Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a damn word that comes out of his mouth.' " Michael Jackson

We have a program titled "Ghost Hunters" here that airs on the Sci-Fi channel (I believe you have a similar channel called Sky?) A team of real-life investigators attempt to debunk various hauntings and often succeed in scaring the b'jaysus out of themselves. Good stuff. :D

Last DVD we watched was The Good Shepherd, a film just chock-full of upright, moral characters (please note sarcasm). Well-crafted thriller, but I wanted to bathe vigorously afterward.

I found a copy of Prizzi's Honour in the charity shop yesterday, so that's on the cards for an evening soon. I'd mentioned the movie earlier in the day, and I saw it on the shelf. Why not, I thought. The only other DVD they had was Soccer Highlights Of 1993, rather than watch which I'd sooner sit through the collected works of Busby Berkeley while combing vanilla ice-cream into my hair.
