t-ball starting today!

Post by Sheryl »

I'm coaching a t-ball team this year. For the Brits and Aussies that's baseball, but the little kids hit the ball off a tee. Today is our first practice and I'm excited and nervous at the same time. It's gonna be fun, cause little kids and organzied sports are always fun. :wah:

I remember when I used to play!

I would hit the tee more than ball!

Good luck.
The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

but the tee it taller BB, so the kids set the ball on this tee that is about waist high to them and they use a baseball bat.

then they swing at it from there.

We had our first game last night. I was so nervous, but didn't have any reason to be because I laughed so hard last night. The other team had taught their kids to catch the ball and tag the runner. So at one point we had a kid with a ball chasing one of our runners all over the field. I thought some of the parents were gonna fall out of the stands they were laughing so hard. I can't wait till the next game! :wah:

well tomorrow is our last game. Wheww I'm glad it's over. The kids and their parents can wear you out. It's funny how some parents use the baseball program as a babysitter, and other parents are so competitive. I definatly had to tell a couple parents to shut up in the stands, and that I was the coach.

But tomorrow we'll end our season with awards, everyone will get a trophy and a pizza party for my team. :D
