My boyfriend gets this practically all the time where he and I both work. We work in a nursing home where it's predominately women, and it seems some of the girls love to start nasty rumors about him being a dog and a flirt. He's a friendly guy, for gawd's sake, whether with male or female. The part that really blows my skirt up is that another man who works there can get away with anything, inappropriate touching of female employees, saying lewd things to them, etc. (and no one wants it, believe me) and he doesn't get called on it at all! Yes, incredibly immature. Especially when there was a rumor going around that my boyfriend and I had been making out during a smoke break, and that got started simply because we were seen outside together having a smoke. They definitely need to grow up.... or get a man to occupy some of their time! :-5

All I have to say about it is

So you had a laugh with some guy and this concerns other people how? This affects them how? Sounds like maybe they need to worry about their own lives instead of yours.

I've lost count of the number of 'affairs' that I've had - just because I like a laugh and enjoy chatting to blokes.

I'd be willing to bet whoever it is is jealous of your outgoing nature and your easy personality, which allows you the benefit of having lots of friends.

I do know what you mean though, and how frustrating that is. I live in a very small town, and a good many of my friends are male, always have been. When I was younger, boy did the gossipmongers have fun with that! :rolleyes: I always took the side of "If they're talking about me, they're talking about someone good" or "if they're talking about me, they're leaving someone else alont". Get a life, wheover you are, and stop concentrating on the actions of others!

Oh Pinky, I love this! Like alot of the other women, I have lost track on the number of affairs I have had with co-workers- even though I WORK FOR MY DAD!!!!
