Hiya all. I had Jade last Wednesday by c-section (11 April) and she is absolutely gorgeous, I am totally in love with her. I had an awful time in hospital, won't go into all of the gory details but I lost 2 and a half litres of blood and thought I was gonna die at one point. Still, we came home Saturday and she is perfect. I'm so happy.

Thanks hun, I did with my son too but it went well, nothing like this time. No more for me, lol.
Well done CG and Jade, I hope you get along well together. When in doubt, rest.

Thanks, he loves her but very protective. Good thing in one way but he got really annoyed when I let a couple of my friends hold her after school today. :wah:
"Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars. Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, 'I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight', people would say, 'Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a damn word that comes out of his mouth.' " Michael Jackson

She is having trouble with her number twos. Any advice other than boiled cooled water which isn't working would be greatly appreciated. She is so happy and contented, I feel so guilty when she grunts trying to go.

Little bit of sugar in that boiled water! don't tell the health profesionals though, they don't approve of tips handed down from previous generations!

My mum and doctor said the same but the hospital and NHS Direct said no way. The suppositories worked although it was horrid to do.
Gripe water is generally for colic/windy babies..not sure of the benefit for a constipated babe.
Double check to make sure that the feeds are being made properly, especially is someone other than you is doing them. Check that the correct amount of water is being put into the feed.
If she's in pain a warm bath and a tummy rub can sometimes stimulate a nice poo which would make her feel better.
I'd mention it to the health visitor at baby clinic if you go to one, just to have it on her records that she's suffered with it just incase it occurs again.
